UK top 20 6 years ago
So hard to beleive this was that long ago!!! 1 - Robbie Williams and Nicole Kidman - SOMETHING STUPID 1BdiAQmEaf0 {1}-1-1-3-12-21-33-31-31-35-44-57 Really didn't like this. 02 - Daniel Bedingfield - GOTTA GET THRU THIS b4eMyOzD9UI {1}-1-2-3-2-1-3-6-13-11-13-22-27-39-45-55-54-54 Sounded okay at the time, now is rather boring. 03 - Sophie Ellis Bextor - MURDER ON THE DANCEFLOOR 2_Nsi05HkXw {2}-3-4-4-2-7-11-16-16-16-21-25-36-48-60-61 Quite liked this back in the day, but wouldn't bother now. 04 - Stereophonics - HANDBAGS AND GLADRAGS d1UzVjJvhFw {4}-4-5-5-5-10-13-20-18-21-28-35-43-57-X-X-72 UGH!, what were they thinking?. 05 - Ian Van Dahl - WILL I? HqUMohpAvAs {5}-7-6-7-14-20-28-29-28-41-53-59-74 Boring dance fodder 06 - Samantha Mumba - LATELY ms1EOZdJt7s {6}-8-8-6-15-18-26-28-30-44-64-61 Deary 07 - S Club 7 - HAVE YOU EVER 8FR0SBQd4X4 {1}-2-3-7-6-7-9-23-35-56-45-37-46-61 Typical teenybop-sugar-pop 08 - PPK - RESURECTION gYPTgJbfJZ8 {3}-6-8-12-11-11-19-25-34-32-32-43-60-62-71 Not bad for a dance song :). 09 - Tweenies - I BELIEVE IN CHRISTMAS NO COMMENT!!! {9}-9-9-12-33-62 10 - Hermes House Band - COUNTRY ROADS Same as above! {7}-10-10-10-10-20-27-38-39-38-50-69 11 - Kate Winslet - WHAT IF 9-HESjOTHBQ {6}-8-11-11-9-8-16-17-25-25-23-32-47-60 Not bad I guess, I remember Feeder were 11 copies or so away from her. 12 - Feeder - JUST A DAY EP Ah3GcnSi2zA {12}-16-17-17-21-36-62 Most probably their best single, with "Shatter" in second and "Insomnia" in third. Had a hard time buying this, Woolworths had no stock, and had to go to Virgin on the bus in cold weather on the Saturday. Worked in a printers at the time. 13 - Janet Jackson featuring Carly Simon and Missy Elliott - SON OF A GUN (I BETCHA THINK THIS SONG IS ABOUT YOU) No video on youtube {13}-19-22-24-30-44-65-X-X-71-66 This is more Missy Elliot's song than Janet' despite the fact she's the first listed artist in the credits. Reminds me of that Dr Dre single which "featured" Slim Shady, even though he did most of the rapping. 14 - Steps - WORDS ARE NOT ENOUGH / I KNOW HIM SO WELL Can't be asked to find the video, as the song is quite forgettable! {5}-14-15-13-16-31-42-59-59-50-57 15 - Kosheen - CATCH 02exfOzdQOI {15}-22-23-23-29-39-52-66 One of the better singles in this chart. 16 - Sum 41 - IN TOO DEEP I9COI_ya8cQ {13}-16-17-18-15-27-37-57-70-70-73 Quite liked this at the time, but is just boring today. Terrible live too. 17 - Riva featuring Dannii Minogue - WHO DO YOU LOVE NOW (STRINGER) LD5GD8k8BbI {3}-5-10-17-20-19-19-24-32-42-46-45-56-67-64 The chart weeks enabled Danni to break into the singles top 500 all-time ranking before Guninees went onto singles and albums combined. Not a bad song too. 18 - Cliff Richard - SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW / WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD (MEDLEY) NO COMMENT!!! {11}-18-24-30-48-69 19 - Hear'Say - EVERYBODY VlnYJWLSe6g {4}-12-19-23-20-22-44-52-68-53-56 Boring I think, everytime I hear this I always keep thinking of their performance on the Royal Variety, in which some firework went off everytime the chorus was sung, for no apparent reason. 20 - Emma Bunton - WE'RE NOT GOING TO SLEEP TONIGHT wVHUAE7FLIM {20}-34-32-35-49 Definetly her worse single at the time, and the public agreed. The midweeks for THE FOLLOWING WEEK WERE:- (including sales) 1. 50,528 Somethin' Stupid Robbie Williams/Nicole Kidman 2. 38,490 How Wonderful You Are Gordon Haskell 3. 33,865 Gotta Get Thru This Daniel Bedingfield 4. 22,053 Murder On The Dancefloor Sophie Ellis Bextor 5. 17,855 Handbags And Gladrags Stereophonics 6. 15,992 Have You Ever S Club 7 7. 15,089 I Believe In Christmas Tweenies 8. 14,100 Lately Samantha Mumba 9. 14,005 Country Roads Hermes House Band 10. 13,682 Will I Ian Van Dahl 11. 12,691 Resurection Ppk 12. 12,664 What If Kate Winslet 13. 8,296 Words Are Not Enough/I Know Him So Well Steps 14. 7,749 Hey Baby Dj Otzi 15. 7,614 Can't Get You Out Of My Head Kylie Minogue 16. 6,971 Son Of A Gun (I Betcha Think This Song) Janet Jackson Ft Carly Simon 17. 6,932 Just A Day Ep Feeder (the Woolworths stocking problem was prolly one of the reasons why this shot up during the week) 18. 6,461 Because I Got High Afroman 19. 6,453 In Too Deep Sum 41 20. 6,371 Who Do You Love Now (Stringer) Riva Ft Dannii Minogue Sources:- Polyhex and http://www.troubled-diva.com/2001_12_16_tr...va_archive.html

Looking for old airplay charts from Dec 2000 and Jan 2001
Just checked the Haven archives, but the ones I need arn't there, but he's prolly still collecting the old chart issues :). To think "Buck Rogers" reached #14 that week, and Texas were at #2 with "Buck Rogers" outselling it overall and also that week, it's a pretty damn amazing achievement. Back then Feeder were a small rock band, selling about 30,000 units on average per album, and to beat someone who sold over 2 million copies of their biggest album, and two years ago had a #1 album which also sold well, that made the achievement even more amazing. I'm suprised "Buck Rogers" isn't all that well known to those who didn't buy the single, and/or are not those who read Kerrang! and/or Q and listen to XFM.

NME's Top 50 Albums Of 2007
Albums are too low, too high or shouldn't be in there at all. Absolute garbage. Biffy should be #1.

Interesting chart there! :D, didn't "Buck Rogers" get to #3 in the end?.

Fabio Capello
Italy only won because of the poor quality of football on show by the teams they played bar Australia and Germany, not to mention being lucky against Germany. Late minute penalty presents by refs really helped them, and was it Totti who dived for the penalty and admitted he did after the Australia game by using cryptic sentences?.

Who's the guy on Haven who posts the old ones up a lot?, ShakyFan isn't it?.

UK Charts, do sales include N Ireland?
They sure do- then the George Best tribute EP charted at #21 in it's first week, that was the week when it was released in his native Northern Ireland before the rest of the UK.

Ernie K. Doe - Here Come The Girls
Sounds really dated too, I thought it was some old song and attempted to look it up in BHS&A to see if it actually charted.

Chart Music 2007
HIGHS:- Reverend and the Makers doing brilliantly with their debut single Fall Out Boy holding up really well with their new album Biffy Clyro finally getting some of their deserved recognition Avril's new album selling poorly (hasn't even been certified platinum yet, and I said it would so badly when the midweeks came out and she was at #1) Kaiser Chiefs reaching #1 in albums and singles Powderfinger getting the fastest selling album in Australia Feeder's singles album re-entering the charts on fathers day, proving to critics that the band are not for kids LOWS:- Leona Lewis for all obvious reasons Avril's comeback Editors new album strugging to sell despite single releases in support of it, even after an excellent start The poor overall performance of the Kaisers album, and slipping single sales New chart rules

Top 75 Singles/Abum Chart
God, I HATED them. This reminds me of this time two years ago when I was on the Feeder tour and it was postponed (was completed in 2006), I decided to go to Birmingham in case the gig there was going ahead and remembered The Darkness had a new album out. I looked at the charts on teletext and the album only entered at #11 with a potential drop by a long mile the following week. From there that VILE band finally disappeared.
