Very....glad she was found alive after all that time in the water.... May not have a chance to check in round these parts, as I'm heading out of town for several days...off on a nice long drive to see friends of mine up north here in the US, leaving Wednesday, and will be back here in my corner of Florida Tuesday next week...

With clocking out from work Thursday night at 9:45 p.m., I began just over 2 weeks of vacation....was supposed to spend a lot of it with my girlfriend, but that's not happening...am still going out of town for several days, the rest of the time off will be either catching up on a bunch of continuing education for my license and certification as a pharmacy technician here in the US, or helping mum with some stuff around the house she'd like to get done...will be going back to work on 3 September.... :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

Congrats to the Irish lad's gymnastics gold medal... So much for the trip with my girlfriend next week....got a text from her Wednesday last that she had the surgery she was wanting me to shuttle her to/from the hospital for...that she wasn't going to do any traveling for a few weeks, and, to top it off, her dad had a heart attack....she said he seems to be doing okay after it, but, at this point, with the pain she's in, and the pain meds she's on, she'll try to call me when she feels up to it....I'm gutted she's not going on the trip, although I'm still taking the time off from work, I have things to do to keep occupied...

Condolences to Natalya and her family with her dad's passing...

A lot of surprising results thus far in the World Cup... I'm tired, last I heard from my gal a week ago she was feeling a bit under the weather, and me dad has been having some bouts with hallucinations of late, as he has Parkinson's disease, and those hallucinations are unnerving, especially for me mum....right now, I'm tempted to call off me trip with my gal in August, as mum's worried dad might just up and drive off somewhere.....
