Many thanks for the info....after my previous post in this thread, I did see in the Robbie Williams forum the video for Angels already posted there.....very touching and moving, to be sure...
  2. Nice to see Robbie take part in the Manchester concert tonight....and 2 nice songs he did, as well.....I can only guess that Angels was for those who were injured/lost their lives, but, I've been known to guess wrongly before.... Am curious, did he perform any other songs besides Strong and Angels? I ask because I haven't seen any of this either when it was streamed live or in highlights...

One quick query from someone on the left side of the pond here in the US....and a most minor of Robbie Williams fans here....as I've not seen the highlights or watched this as it was streamed, might anyone recall what songs Robbie Williams and Take That might have performed....I don't want this to sound crass or mean in any way....I was just curious....
  4. Terrorists are more prevalent these days, which should be appalling, but it's not, due in part to the political climate these days, and some people being complacent in how things are handled/done for security on a local/national/international level. Just my 2 pence..... My condolences to those affected by Saturday night's attacks....
  5. Saw a couple of the races from the Epson Derby today, as they were broadcast live here in the US on NBCSN, although they were seemingly having some technical issues through ITV4, so I missed some of the broadcast due to those issues...
  6. You and your dirty mind..... :P :P It wasn't until after me older brother got married to me sister-in-law and moved out that us siblings sharing bedroom space came to an end...yay for me being the middle of 3 boys....
  7. I do recall a stint as a wee biggy that my older brother actually HAD hamsters as pets...and he was enough of a nutter then to let them loose in the bedroom we shared...
  8. The odometers here in the US, for the most part, still register in miles instead of kilometers, although many of the newer cars these days one can set it up to view the overall amount traveled in the vehicle in either miles or kilometers....just a quick calculation, I multiplied the 8676 miles by 0.62, the 0.62 being the number to convert from miles to kilometers, and got 5379.12 km put on what I'm now driving....the car I traded in had 148,023 miles or 91,774.26 km..... for several decades now here in the US a car speedometer is set up to read both m.p.h and km.p.h. I texted a photo of me new car to me older brother, and he asked me if any giant hamsters came with the car, to which I replied no....telly commercials here in the US used guys dressed as hamsters to sell the Kia Soul at one point....thus me brother's query....
  9. I'm surprised I did that well for November....
  10. Wound up getting a new car last weekend, as the one I was driving, a 2007 Chevrolet HHR, was needing more in repairs than was honestly worth. I got a 2016 titanium gray Kia Soul with 8676 miles on it. Nice car, and I'm still getting used to it.
  11. And there were some buzzjack members at that concert, as well, from what little I've read in the lounge thread about the attack....
  12. I'm happy I moved up one place to 12th..... I see no issues with the system in place for score tabulation for next season.....
  13. Looks like, by my quick calculations, I wound up just shy of the 400 points mark....and still in 13th place....just call me Mr. Lucky 13....
  14. Bayern Munich won their 5th consecutive Bundesliga title today, and saw Philip Lahm retire today as well. Congrats to Bayern Munich.
  15. Final day fixtures: All kick off times are 3:00 PM GMT Sunday 21st May Arsenal 2-2 Everton Burnley 1-2 West Ham Chelsea 2-2 Sunderland Hull 1-3 Tottenham Leicester 2-2 Bournemouth Liverpool 2-1 Middlesbrough Manchester United 2-3 Crystal Palace Southampton 1-2 Stoke Swansea 3-1 West Brom Watford 1-2 Manchester City Whatever will be will be for all these....changing any scores I will not do, as it's all gut reactions...
  16. So much me cracking the 400 point mark, or finishing above where I am now....but it's been an interesting season, eh?
  17. *starts humming the 'Mr. Rogers' theme song....*

  19. I've not watched it, either.....then again, I'm not signed up to get the channel it's on, either...
  20. Happy birthday Houdini....
  21. Looks like I'd need to read up more on snooker, since I really have a lack of understanding on it....same with cricket...both threads are interesting to me, though... Good to see the sports forum hovering in/around the top 10 regularly...
  22. I'm that small problem... :P :P
  23. Thanks for the encouragement, Flatty....I could curl hair with stories of familial heart issues/procedures.....
  24. Well, that procedure was the next step, since meds were tried first to see if those might alleviate the problems with the chest pain flare ups, and I was still having pain occasionally...I was worried, yes, about having the procedure done, not knowing what to expect....but, no blockages requiring stents, so, for that I'm grateful at this point...now to see what I find out when I have me follow up visit with me cardiologist...
  25. Skinny scarf guy I am not....  I'm home resting after having a cardiac catheterization procedure done on 5/2....nothing found requiring stents to be put in, but, as my cardiologist put it, I have an artery in front of me heart that looks like a lake with blood pooling in it, causing bouts of chest pain rather than looking like a pencil...I'm to make a follow up appointment with him in 2 weeks....he wanted to go in at the wrist for this procedure, but, since I couldn't rotate my arm into the position he wanted, he wound up going in through the groin area instead....was awake the whole time, and it felt weird feeling the lead used traveling through inside...now just to take it easy the next few days as directed....me back and right leg are really, really sore, me back from spending 6 hours lying flat on it after the procedure....was on me back about 9 total, counting the time spent in the prep room beforehand....
