  1. I'm that small problem... :P :P
  2. Thanks for the encouragement, Flatty....I could curl hair with stories of familial heart issues/procedures.....
  3. Well, that procedure was the next step, since meds were tried first to see if those might alleviate the problems with the chest pain flare ups, and I was still having pain occasionally...I was worried, yes, about having the procedure done, not knowing what to expect....but, no blockages requiring stents, so, for that I'm grateful at this point...now to see what I find out when I have me follow up visit with me cardiologist...
  4. Skinny scarf guy I am not....  I'm home resting after having a cardiac catheterization procedure done on 5/2....nothing found requiring stents to be put in, but, as my cardiologist put it, I have an artery in front of me heart that looks like a lake with blood pooling in it, causing bouts of chest pain rather than looking like a pencil...I'm to make a follow up appointment with him in 2 weeks....he wanted to go in at the wrist for this procedure, but, since I couldn't rotate my arm into the position he wanted, he wound up going in through the groin area instead....was awake the whole time, and it felt weird feeling the lead used traveling through inside...now just to take it easy the next few days as directed....me back and right leg are really, really sore, me back from spending 6 hours lying flat on it after the procedure....was on me back about 9 total, counting the time spent in the prep room beforehand....

  7. One might say I'm having something of a Leicester-esque season this time out, having been in 7th(?) at the end of last season, and now I can't even crack the top 10....I think I was out of the championship running as far back as October....but, I try....
  8. Well, I can tell you who's NOT the baby daddy.....me....  Anyhow, I don't think me girlfriend would be too happy even if I WAS the daddy.... And good luck to Serena and the rest of her family with the little one on the way...

  10. Hopefully, when my girlfriend musters the courage to actually meet me parents, they'll get along famously.
  11. Well, I showed me mum a picture of meself and me girlfriend a little bit ago, and mum likes her, and emailed the same photo to a friend of mine of 45 years, his reply to her is, "she's a looker"....
  12. I get to have all kinds of fun at some point in the next 2 weeks, with being scheduled for a cardiac catheterization procedure with my cardiologist. He's got to get insurance approval, then I'll be scheduled for the procedure either 4/18 or 4/25. Was told if things look good, I'll be going home same day, but, if there's any issues, I'll be kept in hospital at least 1 night. Was also told I'd be out of work 2-3 days, including day of procedure. What joy I'll be having, and, of course, me girlfriend's all worried aboot me having this procedure done, as are some family members....I'm worried, too, but I'm trying to not let it bother me too much, as the stress I don't need...

  17. You're correct, yes, about the accent acute going the other way over an e....as in é. then there's the ç as in ça va or français....called a cedilla....my first year of French classes was in the 1978/79 school year as well...gads, now I'm REALLY dating myself... :drama: :drama:
  18. In French, that accent is called an 'accent grave'....why? who knows what lurks in the minds of the French language police...  That's something I somehow amazingly remember from my 4 years of French classes in high school here in the US....
