Since I live in the US, this thread gives me the chance to see how well, or how badly, my prognostication skills are, as I'm not as avid/rabid for footy as others seem to be round here...I'm happy to have done as well as I have thus far, 2 fixtures into this current season...so, I surely don't mind participating...

The past few weeks where I live here in the US, one might think it were the UK with all the rain we've been having in my corner of the states....over a 10 day stretch 2 weeks back, some spots around me had 94 cm of rain.....for the year in my lil corner of Florida we're 53.34 cm above annual rainfall totals and it's only mid-August....people's homes have been flooded for the past 2 weeks now due to all the rains we've had...I think I may need to build an ark...

Now feel free to correct me if I'm wrong here, but didn't UEFA insist that the BPL call this new offside rule as everyone else on the continent does presently? :huh: :huh: :unsure: :unsure:

Well, for watching fixtures outright here in the US, I watch them on NBCSN....same for any highlights shows, which seem to escape me at the moment.... EDIT: I do get MOTD here on NBCSN, and I do watch on occasion Men In Blazers, which I know isn't really a proper highlights show, but humorous nonetheless....

Well, Bournemouth made a decent accounting of themselves against Liverpool, but were a bit unlucky twice, first having a goal disallowed, then not having Benteke's goal disallowed as Coutinho made a play for the balll from an offside position....will be interesting to see what happens next fixture for them...

I'm tired of being waterlogged round here....the flooding is receding, most of the flood watches/warnings have expired/cancelled, but, with the predictions for more rain between now and Monday, those same flood watches/warnings could be reissued....just when those street kayakers have put them up, they may have to break them out again...

I find it sad and funny at the same time that there are people in the area here who are using kayaks or canoes to get around due to the flooding..... I can empathize with the Spaniards suffering the summer heat....
