  6. Opening Weekend: Fri 1st Feb: France 23-35 Wales (20:00) Sat 2nd Feb: Scotland 31-23 Italy (14:15) Ireland 34-19 England (16:45) Dunno too much aboot rugby, but I'll try me best to prognosticate as the competition goes along....what confuses me is what goes on with the scrum, and the side-line throw-ins....I gather that the basic idea is to keep the ball away from the opposing side and score....reminds me, the scoring is a bit confusing to me as well...

  16. His noggin's too big for his own good...I think I read over in the sports/fitness forum, in one of the premier league threads over the past couple of years where it's purported Jose said he's the best footy manager of all time...look where it's got him with both Chelsea and Man U....sacked by both, and within a day of 4 years being by Chelsea, the boot comes out for him at Man U...methinks he's the best footy manager of all time for buggering up decent squads, and his seeming inability to play the best players when others are struggling...even if it's the best players struggling, for whatever the reason...
  17. Friday 21st December Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-3 Liverpool (20:00) Saturday 22nd December Arsenal 3-2 Burnley (12:30) AFC Bournemouth 2-2 Brighton & Hove Albion Chelsea 2-1 Leicester City Huddersfield Town 2-2 Southampton Manchester City 4-1 Crystal Palace Newcastle United 2-2 Fulham West Ham United 2-1 Watford Cardiff City 3-2 Manchester United (17:30) Sunday 16th December Everton 1-3 Tottenham Hotspur (16:00) This is going to be an interesting fortnight, 40 fixtures over the period....let's see if I can maintain me grasp on the 10 spot...
  18. Voted Bohemian Rhapsody this go-round.....I get it the song is what really shot them into the rock stratosphere, but, imo, it's been overplayed, overshadowing just about everything else they put out....
  19. BBC America will be airing a darts championship 16 December at 9 in the morning east coast time here in the US...not sure it it's what you're all talking about in this thread...
  20. My dad's the same way, skeptical of any benefit from it.....plus, he's none too fond of needles.....then again, he'll go get shots for any pain meds his doctor will administer....as for me, I'm not fussed about needles/shots, and have donated 2.5 gallons of blood over the years, and have had several intravenous meds/fluids administered over my stays in hospital for surgeries I've had, whether it was a several day stay or an outpatient procedure...I passed on the free shot offering at work, but the pharmacy I now use has them for free as well. I checked Tuesday for a tetanus booster shot, but apparently my insurance doesn't cover it for the pharmacy, so I'll have to check with my doctor when I see him next....
  21. If one decides to get multiple immunizations at the same time, don't do what I did, and get them all in the same arm....was picking up a prescription Monday afternoon, and decided to get a flu shot along with a vaccination to prevent pneumonia.....pharmacist asked if I wanted them both in one arm, or one in each arm, and silly me said it didn't matter to me, so I was given both in the same arm, my left....and my arm sure is very sore today, and will be sore for a couple more days.....
  22. Saturday 15th December Manchester City 3-1 Everton (12:30) Crystal Palace 2-1 Leicester City Huddersfield Town 2-1 Newcastle United Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 Burnley Watford 1-2 Cardiff City Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-2 AFC Bournemouth Fulham 2-1 West Ham United (17:30) Sunday 16th December Brighton & Hove Albion 2-3 Chelsea (13:30) Southampton 1-3 Arsenal (13:30) Liverpool 2-2 Manchester United (16:00) Looks like I'll be slogging it out for 11th place with PeteLeftLeeds…...

  25. Tuesday 4th December AFC Bournemouth 1-2 Huddersfield Town (19:45) Brighton & Hove Albion 2-1 Crystal Palace (19:45) West Ham United 2-3 Cardiff City (19:45) Watford 1-3 Manchester City (20:00) Wednesday 5th December Burnley 1-3 Liverpool (19:45) Everton 2-1 Newcastle United (19:45) Fulham 1-2 Leicester City (19:45) Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-2 Chelsea (19:45) Manchester United 1-2 Arsenal (20:00) Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 Southampton (20:00) Saturday 8th December AFC Bournemouth 1-3 Liverpool (12:30) Arsenal 2-2 Huddersfield Town Burnley 1-2 Brighton & Hove Albion Cardiff City 2-1 Southampton Manchester United 1-2 Fulham West Ham United 2-2 Crystal Palace Chelsea 2-2 Manchester City (17:30) Leicester City 2-3 Tottenham Hotspur (19:45) Sunday 9th December Newcastle United 1-2 Wolverhampton Wanderers Monday 10th December Everton 1-1 Watford (20:00) Figured I'd get them all done now, with these 2 sets of prognostications, so I don't forget anything....
