I think that's more to do with the success of MLJ than the decline of SA.

Stay Awake by Example was very lucky to get to number 1. If I remember rightly, wasn't there about 100 sales separating it and MLJ?

I definitely think Set Fire To The Rain would have stood a chance to be number 1 if it had a video made as radio airplay began, even if it was released after the album. It's a shame she hasn't made/released a video, as it could have easily made the YTD top 20 had it been marketed better. She'll probably release a video in a few months though, as she did for Someone Like You.

I like Rihanna, but I can't help feeling that she's rushing things a bit. 3 albums in 3 years? They've all been good, but with a bit more time I think she could have made 1 amazing album instead. On first listen, We Found Love sounds a bit average for her, but I'm sure it will grow on me. I like Rihanna though so I hope it charts well!
