I bought this today, like someone said above i heard it after hearing about its success in australia and didnt think anything of it, yet now i cant get enough of it. Top 10 methinks
  5. Hoping this climbs to #1 next week ^_^
  6. I remember a few weeks ago on Buzzjack there was a thread that talked about tracks that had managed 12 months in the top 75, and unless something drastic happens it looks like SLY is set to do so very shortly.
  7. I thought the same, but I thought it would have been on by now as it's been around the 35-45 mark on itunes all week
  8. Lana Del Rey's either left the chart for the first time or climbed - hope it's the latter!
  9. They just played the shortened version as well, it's usually even longer
  10. the chart really does make biology revision much less dreary.
  11. But did that peak in January last year, or did it do similar to what it did over here?
  12. who'd have thought that, almost one year after initial release, this song would be back within the top 40. and to think it never even got to number 1!
  13. It charted top 20 back in August if I remember correctly, but now it's got a video and official release where do you think it will chart? I'll go for top 3, it's one of his better efforts and it's already within the top 40 on iTunes. JRfuAukYTKg

Bonus 2) - 12 points Will the number of songs in the top 40 which have peaked at number one (including the number one itself) be a) odd or b)even? Bonus 3) - 12 points How many new entries will there be in the top 40? 3
  15. does new entries include re-entries or not?
  16. 01 // Lady Gaga - Born This Way 02 // Nicki Minaj - Super Bass 03 // Beyonce - Best Thing I Never Had 04 // Katy Perry - Last Friday Night 05 // Christina Perri - Jar Of Hearts 06 // Kelly Clarkson - Mr. Know It All 07 // Lady Gaga - Judas 08 // Calvin Harris ft. Kelis - Bounce 09 // Coldplay - Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall 10 // Emeli Sande - Heaven
  17. ET is my least favourite Katy Perry song, and I'm a huge fan of hers. How it outsold Last Friday Night baffles me, thought it's probably due to Kanye West's appearance.
  18. +10 // Adele - Set Fire To The Rain +09 // Florence + The Machine - Shake It Out +08 // Jessie J - Who's Laughing Now +07 // David Guetta ft. Nicki Minaj - Turn Me On +06 // Katy Perry - The One That Got Away +05 // Lady Gaga - Hair +04 // Lady Gaga - Marry The Night +03 // Delilah - Go +02 // Nicki Minaj ft. Rihanna - Fly +01 // Bruno Mars - Marry You -02 // Black Eyed Peas - Don't Stop The Party Bizzarely, I much prefer the list I have made here than the one I did for the best number ones of the year

It's played fairly regularly on Capital, I first heard it a few weeks ago before I even knew she was going to release it over here.

I am partial to Jessie J so obviously my view is biased, but I think this is the most radio- and TV-friendly (although not best) song Jessie has done since Price Tag. I chose top 5, but I think it could have massive sales in the long run.
  21. Bad Romance and Telephone were both huge hits, being the 5th and 6th releases from The Fame - however, this was a re-release so can it be counted? Also, neither of the two were quite as big as Poker Face.

150- Jessie J - Price Tag 140- Adele - Someone Like You 130- Rihanna - We Found Love 120- Rihanna - What's My Name? 110- Kesha - We R Who We R 100- Example - Changed The Way You Kissed Me 090- Jennifer Lopez - On The Floor 080- Pixie Lott - All About Tonight 070- Example - Stay Awake 060- Nicole Scherzinger - Don't Hold Your Breath 050- Bruno Mars - Grenade 040- Olly Murs - Heart Skips A Beat 030- The Military Wives - Heart Skips A Beat 020- DJ Fresh - Louder 010- Jason Derulo - Don't Wanna Go Home -10- LMFAO - Party Rock Anthem Surprising lack of quality among the number 1s of 2011. Outside of the top 5, I don't particularly rate any of those songs. Most of my favourite songs of the year peaked top 5 but not number 1 - Rolling In The Deep, S&M, etc.

    1. adele - rolling in the deep 2. lady gaga - judas 3. calvin harris - bounce 4. will young - jealousy 5. charlene soraia - wherever you will go 6. aloe blacc - i need a dollar 7. jason derulo - don't wanna go home 8. pitbull - give me everything 9. nero - promises 10. lmfao - party rock anthem
  24. Do you have the sales for Rebecca Fergusons's Nothing's Real But Love and Heaven, and Matt Cardle's Run For Your Life and Letters? Interesting to compare the two, considering they've both done relatively poor.
