  1. I think she may perform an album track, I've seen her do promo before with unreleased songs.
  2. White Noise is so smooth and effortless-sounding, not nearly as good as Latch but a respectable follow up.
  3. No signs of Jessie Ware :(
  4. Radioactive sounds like an Eminem song
  5. This is the first time I've heard Get Up (Rattle), and it sounds about as horrendous as everything else Far East Movement have done/featured on.
  6. It's weird how Somebody That I Used To Know and Thrift Shop will have almost exactly the same climb up the chart in exactly the same week/s of the year!
  7. 'Stay' has had a really weird run on iTunes, one minute it can be in the top 3 and the next down to #7 or something. She's getting almost as bad as Nicki Minaj with her late video releases too!
  8. To be honest, I think that 2013 has got off to a pretty poor start music-wise. The majority of the YTD top 10 comprises of big hits from 2012 (which I suppose could only be expected), but I can only see Thrift Shop so far going on to becoming 'classic', and even that was released last year. Every week just seems to have been dead as far as new releases have been concerned. Even the shocking OA/OS releases (JT, David Bowie) have all fallen away within the week.
  9. I think Thrift Shop is looking set to be this year's Somebody That I Used To Know.
  10. Girl On Fire is really good as a single, but I find her album really disappointing. This aside, there's nothing at all that stands out in any way.

  12. Do you think Diamonds could go on to sell a million? It's been in the T10 for an age now and it isn't showing any sings of plummeting. I think that with a BRITs performance it could be manageable. Only wondering because I did a quiz for New Year's Eve and one of the questions was which of the artists Rihanna, The Beatles, The Spice Girls and ABBA had had the most million sellers and Ri-Ri was second on 3 behind The Beatles.
  13. When are the results for this going to be done? Not in a rush or anything just curious.
  14. I got a new laptop in like October so these are all really recent, before all of my top 25 most played was 350+ but unfortunately I couldn't find a way to copy those over... 01 // Ellie Gouding - Anything Could Happen - 147 02 // Nicki Minaj - Va Va Voom - 125 03 // Rihanna - Diamonds - 101 04 // Ellie Goulding - Figure 8 - 87 05 // Alicia Keys - Girl On Fire (feat. Nicki Minaj) - 76 06 // Kesha - Die Young - 74 07 // Girls Aloud - Something New - 72 08 // Taylor Swift - I Knew You Were Trouble - 71 09 // Nicki Minaj - Freedom - 69 10 // Adele - Skyfall - 68 Only ACH (and maybe VVV and D seeing as though they have plays on my old laptop) would touch the T100 most played on my old laptop.

  16. Lightning Bolt was performed on Jools Holland right after the New Year programme had finished on BBC 1, maybe that's why it has climbed if a lot of people watched. Another Love is being uses on a BBC advert, too.
  17. She didn't have any chart hits in 2012 did she?
  18. Maybe 21's not the fourth best album ever, but I think it deserves every sale. It's a really strong album (for me it plays like a greatest hits) and those sales represent just how omnipresent Adele was last year.

It won't be big at all, but according to Wikipedia Laura Marling is releasing a new album in February.

I think Little Mix have done quite well, when you compare Wings to all of the other X Factor songs from 2011 contestants it is the biggest selling and probably the best. It is all well and good comparing it to 212, but that's one of the biggest dance/rap songs of the year and that Wings is even close to it makes it successful.
  21. 212 and Princess Of China are my favourites of 2012, although on here I went for Domino closely followed by Starships. A lot of the songs I like haven't sold massively which is a change from 2011.
  22. Of the last 3, because they're the only 3 I've listened to properly: Loud>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Unapologetic>Talk That Talk - - - ATM I'm really liking Phresh Out The Runway; it's my 'getting pumped' song.

  24. Someone's mentioned her already but I think both 110% and Wildest Moments could have been really big hits for Jessie Ware with the right amount of exposure. UznHTBZIa8E Laura should have been huge for Bat For Lashes too, it's absolutely stunning. I think that it could have had a Video Games sort of success as the songs are quite alike and would appeal to the same types of people.
  25. I was just about to put this! With Figure 8 rising at the moment it's looking promising.
