The message of the song is... empty your brain of all rational thought, ignore the banal lyrics and repetetive chorus, and boogey on down to a brainless beat rather than listen to a record with any actual substance. Hate to break it to ya, but the only reason the video attracted so many views IS because of the sexy ladies gyrating around in bikinis and various other forms of undress. It doesn't have any intention other than to show off their flesh, you're giving it more credit than it deserves. At least is distracts from the dreadful background noise, I guess. Hopefully the song will flop after the initial download explosion, I'm just a little sick of all this unoriginal, hastily put-together dance drivel that's clogging up our charts right now. I don't mind the odd good one, like 'Dance Wiv You', but acts like Basshunter and Cascada just give the genre a bad name. The stereotype of it being chav music actually fits it pretty well. But like you said, everyone's entitled to their view. Even people with hoodies, cheap jewellery and appalling ringtones ;)

That Basshunter song is absolute rubbish, the only good thing about is the video featuring those sexy ladies. But how many dance videos can boast scantily clad women prancing about in lingerie in them? Hardly a rarity, is it? It WON'T reach No 1, the 5 week run of 'Now You're Gone' will be seen as a fluke, so I'm afraid your optimism is misplaced.. Dizzee's downloads will keep increasing, and judging by have quickly he's climbed the chart I would estimate that he will see at least 40k downloads by the close of sales on Saturday. HURRAY!! :D

Can anyone display the popularity bars for the top 40 songs on I-tunes right now? That should be a good indicator of exactly how far ahead DR is of the competition..

You need to stop thinking of songs you 'should' hate and enjoy them regard of how 'uncool' the act is. I, SHOCK HORROR enjoy some tracks by S Club 7 and Steps. I even find some merit in Mcfly's repertoire. Mostly their early stuff, though. As soon as you rid yourself of these pointless hang-ups about what's trendy and what's not, I think you'll start to enjoy music a whole lot more. There, end of lecture. -_-

Methinks she would rather be at home with her friends than travelling around the world to places she hasn't even heard of. And of course the parents decided that she should go abroad to make them pots o'gold. Do you think she's capable of making the decision herself? Sounds like a classic case of when the kid grows up, she'll resent her parents for making her work so hard when so young. None of this is set in stone, it's just you hear so many sob stories of former childhood stars whose lives are ruined by so much pressure being on them when they were small that the likelihood is it will end in tears. Of course it doesn't help that I find her singing annoying and her gap toothed smile rather creepy. But hey, maybe that's just me :)
