Sunday Chart Predictions
Of course it does, as long as it costs 1p +. Which is exactly how much I've seen Alexander Burke's single for in some Woolies stores on the day of closure :D

2008's flops
Alesha Dixon will. It's early days yet, but her album went in at the low twenties and I don't think the public really sees her as a proper pop star. Though the second single is quite good. Watch this space.. :)

☃ iTunes Chart // Christmas 2008
Is that supposed to be a snowman next to the Itune Chart banner? I thought it was an insect. I was worried for a minute there my computer was telling me I had a virus in my harddrive. So thanks for making me fret, and for heaven's sake.. sack the artist!!

I know this Labour government have cracked down on a lot of our personal freedoms, but as far as I'm aware you're still allowed to use apostrophes and full stops. Just to let you know.. ;)

Number 1's that never were
This is going back a bit but... GROOVE IS IN THE HEART by DEE-LITE, a true dance classic. It got beaten by THE STEVE MILLER BAND and THE JOKER, apparently by something like 12 copies. Damn those sh***y jeans ads

No she won't. But still, keep dreaming. Just be prepared for a massive shock when she struggles to make top 5, and get ready for a big I TOLD YOU SO from yours truly here ;)

iTunes Chart // November II
Too right it doesn't make sense! BS beating TT in the albums?! Funniest thing I've ever heard (apart from that joke about the randy vicar) Can she manage over 200k in one week? I doubt it. Smells like BS to me (pun intended) :teresa:

A re-released album from last year with 3 new tracks on it beating Dido's first LP for 5 years. All I can say is.. WOW. Turns out it was a good idea to hold back the release of Run after all..

iTunes Chart // November II
I'm glad Run isn't being released to I-tunes.. the last thing 2008 needs is another overrated number 1. I heard the live performance on Saturday and was extremely underwhelmed.. give me the Snow Patrol original anyday over some diva squealing into a microphone. It is bad business practice though.. who on Earth is going to buy the album again just for the sake of a few new tracks ( I suppose it worked with Rihanna though). Never mind, at least in a week Take That should be out, and what with the exposure they'll get this Saturday on the glorified karaoke contest they'll be odds on favourites to add to their impressive tally of 10 number 1's with Greatest Day. Even if it does lack a chorus.. ^_^

Who's dissing? I just noticed in the thread that people were criticising Beyonce for her supposed aloofness towards fans and bigging up Britney, who I regard as a far worse role model for impressionable people. I was trying to redress the balance by laying out a few dodgy things Britney has done in her career, which in my view far outweigh the worst of Beyonce's excesses. I have no agenda concerning Britney.. I am not what you would call a fan but I appreciate the impact she has had on 21st century music. In terms of her personal life I would equate her to Amy Winehouse.. someone who you love to listen to, but would never want to imitate. Beyonce though, is someone who seems to have the best of both worlds.. critically acclaimed tunes and a spotless media reputation. My point is, as a Britney fan you cannot complain about Beyonce's few minor off days without taking into account your own idol's flaws.. especially during live performances. Anyone who saw Ms Spears disastrous set at the MTV awards last year with 'Gimme More' will know exactly what I mean..

She did it, therefore we can bring it up. What will her children think when they see the pictures? I don't know about you, but I would be mortified if my mother acted so immaturely. And what makes it worse she did it on PURPOSE. Once might be an accident, but doing it twice in the same week? Pure showing off. The same thing with the shaving incident... she just did it to get attention. Yes, she has a lot of pressure due to her being followed by the paparazzi 24/7, we got that point in her 'Everytime' video. Responding to it in that fashion though, is totally unacceptable, especially when you have kids who could be humiliated by your behaviour. She should have received help long before she reached that stage, and part of the blame should go to some of the people she surrounds herself with who are only after a quick buck without caring about her mental health. At least things couldn't get any worse for her though.. her lowest point must be losing custody of her children to the waste of space that is K-Fed. Lets see where she goes from here. Hopefully not to the nearest priory.

I would rather rather be someone like Beyonce, who is never in the headlines for shaving her head randomly in a barbers or climbing out of cars flashing her lady bits, then Britney. At least Beyonce has been in a stable relationship for years, and is in control of virtually of her career, unlike Ms Spears who needs to kept under a tight leash by her record company lest she have yet another nervous breakdown. When is she going to stop behaving like a teenager, and take some responsibility as an artist and a MOTHER?? Their respective new singles are both pretty good in my opinion, but neither seems worthy of No 1. Leona's towers over both of them, but her recent lack of promotion in the UK may hurt her chances. My point is, you might moan about Ms Knowles being big-headed and selfish towards her fans, but she has never done anything untoward to make her the target of the gutter press and seems a very bright and motivated individual. Britney may be back on the straight and narrow, but it remains to be seen how long it takes her to do something else 'outrageous' to everybody's derision. I give her six months.

I'd be surprised if they weren't stocking this song in Woolworth's. It is for charidee after all..

iTunes Chart // October II
Don't you know? That's how they're credited on the CD single box. Don't have a go at him just because the record company was uncannily accurate in it's description of them. Anyway, lets see how the X Factor Knobs do in this weeks Itunes chart. Probably be No 1 by tomorrow afternoon..

Could X Factor Finalists 2008 - Hero Be A Million Seller?
What 'performance'? It was completely mimed from beginning to end, and two of the twelve didn't even make it on stage due to a malfunction with a door, so their vocals had to be substituted among the other contestants. :D Watch it back and you'll see. Anyway, I think the song will do amazingly well in it's opening week (100k +) but it will drop pretty quickly after that, with Britney, Leona, Take That et all nipping at its heels..
