I'm sorry, your sign is broken. Let me fix it: The Sugababes's last studio album 'Change' was the lowest seller of their career. As they prepare to release their new LP in October, will it flop or be a hit? There! No paint or tools needed at all! I'm a genius! :naughty:

Are you sure? I think you stay the bath too long.. ^_^

This work. What with there being a 'lost' track on there and all of Cliff's fans out in force because of the hype machine, I can see this being No 1 for sure. A bit unfair that it'll be the only single available at Woolies, but those seem to be the rules these days. Of course, having not heard the song yet, I'm not sure if it'll be any good or not or even if he'll make a video to accompany it, but you can be sure that his army of wrinklies will preserve his precious record of being the only artist to top the chart every decade from the 90's -_-

Her only song ever to reach No 1 too. Very well DESERVED!! :cheer:

Hopefully, it's because everyone has simultanously realised what a bag of sh*t the song is. But, the more realistic explanation is probably that the record company have removed it because they want to sell more albums.

Oh come on, Martin isn't THAT bad!! :P

You'll be glad to know he's putting in a lot of personal appearances this year to promote his new album on TV and the radio, so I hope you like long sleeps and waking up to the taste of your own sick ^_^

Oh no he won't! Just because he hasn't got a career in Australia doesn't mean to say he's not big in the UK. After all, his last 2 albums sold more than a million copies apiece. He's appearing at most of the top music festivals and already Changes has a lot of radioplay. Mystic Meg you ain't. Oh and hi BTW :P

That Katy Perry song has some of the most excruciating lyrics I've heard in a long time. "Us girls we are so magical, Soft skin, red lips, so kissable". Indeed. The only reason it'll reach the top is because it's the first controversial pseudo-lesbian anthem since All The Things She Said back in 2003. That Kid Rock songs annoys me too, the guy can't sing.. and talk about ripping off a classic song with it's sampling! It's wouldn't be a tenth as popular without it's liberal borrowing from Sweet Home Alabama. I'm rooting for Love Is Noise.. it's not up there with Verve's best, but it's miles ahead of it's other competitors. Unfortunately, it doesn't stand a chance this week, because the physical is out August 12th. Oh well, looks like seven days of smoking funny things or tasting cherry chapstick. Me? I'm off to crawl under a particularly large rock unless it's all over, if you don't mind. Budge up, richie!!

And I'll never forgive Madonna for keeping Will's brilliant album 'Keep On' from reaching #1. That doesn't mean to say I wish she'd just bugger off. I still like a lot of her music, and think it's great that she's still dancing with the Trousersnake while being eligible for a bus pass. Why hold a grudge for something so petty, DDUUDDEE?! :(
  11. The song is bad enough, but when you see the video with all those OAPs cavorting with the sexy babes in bikinis, it actually becomes TEN TIMES WORSE. Act your age, Grandpa!! Top 30, as the post of 'boy band making a huge comeback' has already been filled by Take That..

    BAA!
  13. The Saturdays would be lucky to make the top 20, never mind No 1. No matter how much money you throw at a group, if the public don't take to them they're not going to be successful. I hardly hear the song on the radio, plus they are handicapped by having such a stupid name. I'm thinking: two singles, then album cancelled, finally they're dropped like a hot potato. We'll see..
  14. YES JUSTICE DONE!! Watch Mcfly's crappy little record fall to 20 or less next week. So much for that advert.. 'Featuring The Number Two Hit Single' doesn't quite have the same ring to it. WOTTA SHAME!!

I get the feeling thiis week's chart may be a stitch up. I bought the Mail today and in advertising it's free copy of Radioactive with the Mail On Sunday in the middle pages it says and I quote: FEATURES THE NO 1 HIT SINGLE ONE FOR THE RADIO. Well excuse me for being old-fashioned, but I thought the top 40 was released to the public on Sunday at 7.00? The sales for this week haven't even been counted yet for Saturday (and Friday when the advert in the paper when to press early this morning) and already they're claiming victory!! I reckon that they'll make sure they get to the top spot by hell and high water, even if it means getting a load of friends and record company workers to use that stupid 50p text download multiple times. Seriously, if they are numbero uno tomorrow whatever credence the charts have will be washed away, because on top of the 3 different physical cds and the 2 text downloads on offer, Mcfly will have effectively rigged the result even though their song is NOT THE MOST POPULAR ONE IN THE COUNTRY. If their tactics work, they could be taken up by other bands.. then we'll back to good days of songs debuting at No 1 and falling to 17 the next week. WHOPPEE. Nice one McCheats, for proving what a bunch of sore losers you really are.. P.S Just as I was about to post this message, i saw a little commercial on The Hits advertising the album... and it made the same claim about the non-existent No 1 single! Surely you can complain about this kind of false advertising? I'm off to call the number on the asa website. See yas later...

After Dizzee outsold them so much on Tuesday, and with the rest of the week to consider, Mcfly have no chance. DR be ahead by the Friday midweeks at this rate I predict , if not then definitely by Sunday. Don't worry..

Of course he is, did you really think Mcfly were going to be No 1 when they sell 50% of their single sales for the week on the first day and have such rubbish download sales?
  18. biffff posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
I think Mcfly will be at No 1 in the singles chart today (but won't be able to last the course throughout the week) and Basshunter will be a surprise No 1 in the albums..

Believe me, it certainly is. In a choice between having cold, clammy custard poured into my eardrums and listening to the Swede's monotonous dirge, the yellow dessert condiment would maintain first place anytime. It's bad enough he can't sing, but at add those appalling beats and using underwear models to distract from his own shortcomings.. well, it's just low. Just a little side-note.. I am NOT calling anyone a Chav and my comment on feeling guilty for listening to this Eurotrash was supposed to be tongue in cheek. After all, this is a community of music lovers (No matter how abysmal the tunes may be) and I love everybody. PEACE AND LOVE TO ALL!! Apart from that absolute ****** Basshunter, of course.. DIZZEE FOR NO 1 FOR A COUNTRY MILE!!

If you ask me, you should feel VERY guilty for liking them!!

The message of the song is... empty your brain of all rational thought, ignore the banal lyrics and repetetive chorus, and boogey on down to a brainless beat rather than listen to a record with any actual substance. Hate to break it to ya, but the only reason the video attracted so many views IS because of the sexy ladies gyrating around in bikinis and various other forms of undress. It doesn't have any intention other than to show off their flesh, you're giving it more credit than it deserves. At least is distracts from the dreadful background noise, I guess. Hopefully the song will flop after the initial download explosion, I'm just a little sick of all this unoriginal, hastily put-together dance drivel that's clogging up our charts right now. I don't mind the odd good one, like 'Dance Wiv You', but acts like Basshunter and Cascada just give the genre a bad name. The stereotype of it being chav music actually fits it pretty well. But like you said, everyone's entitled to their view. Even people with hoodies, cheap jewellery and appalling ringtones ;)
  22. biffff posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
That Basshunter song is absolute rubbish, the only good thing about is the video featuring those sexy ladies. But how many dance videos can boast scantily clad women prancing about in lingerie in them? Hardly a rarity, is it? It WON'T reach No 1, the 5 week run of 'Now You're Gone' will be seen as a fluke, so I'm afraid your optimism is misplaced.. Dizzee's downloads will keep increasing, and judging by have quickly he's climbed the chart I would estimate that he will see at least 40k downloads by the close of sales on Saturday. HURRAY!! :D

Can anyone display the popularity bars for the top 40 songs on I-tunes right now? That should be a good indicator of exactly how far ahead DR is of the competition..
  24. biffff posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
Dizzee will be No 1 next week.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I just can't wait to hear Rockstar in the chart for the rest of the year
