Sunday Chart Predictions - Daily Updates
You wouldn't be saying that if you'd heard the Travelling Wilbury's music. They were one of the most underrated bands of all time and produced two great albums, and knew when to stop before they got bad and tarnished their legacy. Bon Jovi, on the other hand, is a dinosaur who should have quit ten years ago, but because his acting career didn't work out and he can still fill stadiums by performing all of his old hits, he's carried on making a fool of himself despite running out of good material after his third LP. Still, you have to help the aged I suppose..

UK Top 10 - The Love & Hate Poll
I DON'T HATE ANY AND I LIKE 7. But for some reason it doesn't let me continue unless I click on at least one I dislike, so I'm going to go with Cupid's Chokehold, mainly because of that rip-off sample from a great Supertramp track.

UK Top75 Singles/Albums
Agreed. In fact, I don't think I've met anyone who says it's one of their favourites yet. It's definitely one of the weakest tracks on the album, and it was a very bad choice for a single release. Frankly I expect more From Take That than sub-standard Westlife-esque ballads. Reach out would have been far more radio-friendly, and may have given them the boost they needed for that 11th No 1. As it stands, I think its fanpower alone that could give them a chance of the top spot, and of course how much there is a sales dip for the brilliant 'Umbrella' in it's sixth week on the chart..

Sunday Chart Predictions
Hi there all, according today's Sun: http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,4-2007260090,00.html Rihanna is just 300 copies behind Biffy (Which makes No 1 for her a certainty as most of Biffy's fans would have purchased Puzzle on the first day) and Paul McCartney has no chance of breaking into the top three because of his coffee obsession. I hope we get more detailed info on the top 75, but this'll do for now..

Predict: Mutya - Real Girl ALBUM
Because sales seem unusually dire for LPs at the mo I'm gonna go with.. Top 15. How do you know it's going to be 'excellent' when the album isn't out yet?! Is this pure guesswork by a besotted fan with blind faith or.. did you obtain it ILLEGALLY? NAUGHTY! If that is the case, I'm surprised you care about the chart position. You're certainly not helping towards it..

Sunday Chart Predictions
I wouldn't be too sure of that.. all Mutya has to do is get some of her people together, hand over a wad of cash and then spread them over the UK, telling the peeps to buy as many copies of the single as possible in HMV and Woolworths, go into cyber cafes and download a thousand copies seperately etc. I think she got a healthy enough settlement from the Sugababes when they split up, being one of the primary songwriters, to be able to rig the charts to at least be in with a shout. After all, Louis Walsh did it with Westlife in their early years, and noone has begrudged them their 14 no 1's. Doesn't look like she's corrupt though, going by how much of a deficit she trails by in the midweeks. Some people are just too honest to a fault, even if it does impact their solo career fatally. Sigh..

The Zimmers, "My Generation"
With Umbrella still doing good business on downloads and the physical release being the same day, I think your fears can be safely allayed. Actually, the download of this travesty was released last week, and I didn't see it troubling the top 100 midweek chart and the song has already had plenty of publicity. Hype can only get you so far, we do have ears you know. In fact, if you're so disinterested in it, why even bother raising the issue? You're only giving it far more attention than it deserves..

Sunday Chart Predictions
Hang on a sec... if Mcfly usually sell so well early on in the week, couldn't one of the other singles in the top 5 overhaul them as the week goes on? I wouldn't start putting my bets on Mcfly being a definite No 1 to be honest... Look what happened to the Manics on Sunday... Also, how far down has Natasha bedingfield's album slid?

will scooch top the chart this week with Flying The Flag?
I've got my doubts... I think they'll be lucky (and they should be happy) to reach the top 10!! It ain't doin' great on downloads...

Sunday Chart Predictions
I meant compared to 'Fridays Child ' which obviously did more than 1.7 million in the UK. But you're right, 3x platinum is a very impressive result for the 'difficult' album e.g the third one. He's certainly deserves a lot of credit, having moved away from the reality TV tag and even taking on some high profile acting roles, both on stage and screen. I wonder which area he'll concentrate on more in the future... his music or his thespianism? Judging by some of the remarks he has made recently, I suspect the latter. Which would be a shame, as his albums aren't actually half bad. He's the only act out of those shows I've got any time for apart from Girls Aloud, anyway..

Sunday Chart Predictions
No single from that album would have helped, as there wasn't anything that would have could on with the general public anyway. A lot of it seemed catered toward explaining his Christianity, and if there's one thing people hate it's being preached at. Still you've gotta respect the man, he isn't afraid of being himself even at the expense of sales. I would say the same thing regarding Will Young... he released 'Switch It On' as the the first single from 'Keep On', when his record company were practically begging him to put out 'Al Time Love'. This led to his album only getting to No 2, and 19 rush releasing ATL as the second single in January. At least that album went on to sell a respectable amount, something tells me Natasha's is going to have to recover VERY well to sell anything like 900k copies considering it's slow start. We shall wait and see..

Sunday Chart Predictions
Nah, you're wrong there... his second album struggled simply because it wasn't very good, a lot of the tracks weren't exactly mainstream... plus it had a very poor choice of singles. Remember 'Nothing Hurts Like Love'? No, neither do I... I got the LP from a relative for Christmas 2004, and I was shocked at how crappy it was compared to his debut. It seems a lot of people agreed with me, because I saw a few copies in charity shops a couple of months later going for £1 each. Plus, I'm not saying this was his fault, but at the time he was promoting it he was still recovered from his almost fatal accident in New Zealand, and he didn't exactly look in the best shape. The less said about his dyed hair too, the better. I'm not saying Natasha's latest is any better or worst than Daniel's last release but the initial comments and reviews I've heard haven't exactly encouraged me to rush out and buy it. Never mind, I'm sure her new Americanized sound will go down a storm in the States, and she won't give two hoots about the poor reception she gets back home. Just like Joss Stone. Sigh..

Sunday Chart Predictions
Not 'jealous' as such, we just don't like sell-outs who pretend to be something they're not... check out the downfall of Joss Stone in the UK, for instance. NB isn't quite as bad as all that, but and all the time she spent on the other side of the Atlantic have led people to forget about her over in Blighty. She should have put down more of a presence over on these shores first, rather than performing 'Unwritten' for the umpteeth occasion on one of those crappy daytime TV talk-shows. Yes, we KNOW it was a hit over there, but talk about milking your success based on one song! Lesson No.1:just because you had a No 1 album a couple of years ago, doesn't mean you can just swan in and maintain the same level of success later on. NEVER alienate your core audience in your home country by going overseas for an extended period, and then certainly don't give a load of press interviews about how great the LA lifestyle is and how successful you are over there! What did her debut album reach in the USA? 26? Hardly Mariah Carey, is it? Anyway, I think she deserves what she's getting with her early position, and I hope she picks a better second single than that 'Babies' nonsense...
