iTunes Weekly Thread: W/C 13th May 2012
Seems like the Sats have already run aground at number 8 :( Hopefully they'll keep climbing through the week, like Far East Movement did. At the very least get pat Alex Clare and Rihanna, Tulisa is probably too far ahead for them to catch.

I just listened to Conor Maynard for the first time. WOW. That is an extremely obnoxious song.

I think STIUTK has done so well BECAUSE it's not revolutionary. These sort of songs do so well precisely because everybody likes them and they offend absolutely no one. It was the same with "Moves Like Jagger" and it'll be the same with "We Are Young".

I believe it's Right By Your Side. Personally, I'd prefer Marilyn Monroe or Pound the Alarm, but ho hum.

Yeah, my point is very much weakened by the mentions of fondue and Buzz Lightyear. The "swaggy" bit makes me want to punch him in the face.

I feel like I'm in Alcoholic's Anonymous when I say this, but seriously: I really like Boyfriend. I can't stand Justin Bieber or his previous songs, I think his obnoxious fans ruin Twitter for everyone, but I think this song is a real step up in quality for him. THERE I SAID IT. *Dramatically flounces out*

Considering the huge amount of ground Justin has had to make up between Nicki and Carly, I think he's done very well. I have no doubt he'll take number 1 at some point, but whether he'll hang on for very long... He's got a top 2 in the bag though.

Demi Lovato - Unbroken
Considering everything against her (lack of promotion, lack of radio support, UK public being wary of teen Disney stars, lack of availability, I couldn't find it in my HUGE local Tesco Extra) I think a top 50 position should be chalked up as a success.

#1 OF THE YEAR 2011 / RESULTS
I'll take a stab at: 1) We Found Love 2) Someone Like You 3) Changed the Way You Kiss Me 4) On the Floor 5) What's My Name (I'm actually surprised this has made it this far. Good song but didn't realise it was so loved. I imagine a poor year for quality of no 1 has probs helped it out though.)

Poor Nicola. People really just do not care about her, do they?

On Your Radar (4th Studio Album Discussion) (Part 2)
If OYR is going to do recover than they need to realise a brilliant track with a video that gets everyone talking. Unfortunately, this is the Saturdays' management we're talking about, so a boring as f*** video with Travie McCoy is coming soon, I'll guess. Will I never have the CGI video game themed White Lies video I so desperately crave?
