  1. Surely it's slightly more than that. If they had a ~8.5k lead by midnight Mon, and a ~11k lead by midnight Tue, and they were continuing to extend their lead through Wed, the deficit at the start of Thur could be >12k. Which would mean Pink would need to be >4k better per day to get #1
  2. Any 2012 single from Lisa Hannigan's "Passenger" album. She's just phenomenal, yet none of her albums or singles have come close to charting in the UK. Knots: Little Bird: What'll I do:
  3. It would be great for Robbie's album if he could get on to perform "Different" on Xfactor. It would also help ensure it isn't a one-hit album, considering most of the songs on there are better than "Candy"
  4. So if ~150k is required to be in the top 150, Adele's going to have 4 songs in there, and she's only released 1 of them in the last year and a half!
  5. So, I appreciate this isn't entirely Chart related, but thought it was worth a brief mention: YouTube views: PSY - Gangnam Style: 803,695,387 Justin Bieber - Baby: 803,653,685 Gangnam Style is now the most viewed YouTube video of all time

Hi Theo, I've been researching Adele's single sales, based on verified information and estimations from weekly itunes performance, and I have put together the following: Adele UK single sales (up to 17/11/12) 1. Someone like you ~1,417,000 2. Rolling in the deep ~938,000 3. Make you feel my love ~843,000 4. Set fire to the rain ~613,000 5. Chasing pavements ~423,000 6. Skyfall (Bond theme) 420,258 7. Hometown glory ~160,000 8. Turning tables ~101,000 9. Rumour has it ~89,000 10. Cold shoulder ~73,000 11. I can't make you love me ~29,000 12. One and only ~23,000 Total of Charting singles = ~5.13 million Obviously there are also numerous sales of individual album tracks that have never charted in the top 100, for example, "Don't you remember" regularly appears in the itunes top 1000, and will have sold many thousands of copies itself. The combined sales of non-charting album tracks would make this total that bit higher. Some interesting points: - "Skyfall" is now (22/11/12) Adele's 5th biggest selling single ever, overtaking "Chasing Pavements" - "Make You Feel My Love" this week enters the UK's top 200 selling singles of all time (as #200) - Adele is now in the top 60 singles artists of all time. - Adele is 13th in the list of all time female singles artists - Adele is the 2nd biggest selling singles artist of the decade so far.
  7. @checkers, I presume your username is 'selke' on Ukmix? Because you post word for word the exact same negative messages on there. Stop being so melodramatic.
  8. I posted this on the Buzzjack Robbie forum: from the most recent OCC info, we have exact totals for a grand total of 2 of Robbie's 12 albums. However, we do know the exact total of his total album sales. Therefore, I have taken all the most recent album sales information, and increased them in line with general itunes popularity, to provide (hopefully fairly accurate) estimates of his current individual album sales, totalling up to the exact figure the OCC gave us. The main question mark ironically is RKTVS, as, despite being his most recent studio album before TTC, it is also has the longest period of time without exact sales info. Here we go: Life Thru A Lens...................2,091,896 I've Been Expecting You ......2,579,000 Sing When You're Winning ..2,201,000 Swing When You're Winning 2,279,000 Escapology.........................2,065,000 Live At Knebworth...................624,000 Greatest Hits ......................2,249,000 Intensive Care .....................1,621,000 Rudebox ...............................516,000 Reality Killed The Video Star 1,002,000 In & Out of Consciousness ......672,650 Take the Crown ........................83,508 Total: 17,984,054

  10. Hi, I collated these in the Summer of last year: Life Thru A Lens 2,085,136* I've Been Expecting You 2,568,075* Sing When You're Winning 2,192,562* Swing When You're Winning 2,266,752* Escapology 2,054,982* Live At Knebworth 621,759* Greatest Hits 2,239,764* Intensive Care 1,614,036* Rudebox 511,736* Reality KTVS 940,000** (+/-20,000) In and Out of Consciousness 624,800** *sales from Feb 10 **sales from July 11
  11. This time next year, '21' by Adele will have a 1.5 and a 1 million seller.
  12. ^^^^ Thanks VC :)
  13. Does anyone know: If a single hovers around 400-600 on itunes all week, would it be likely to have sold around 1000 copies in that week? (I know there are lots of other variables that need to be taken into account to give the best answer, but I'm just looking for a very rough idea). Thanks
  14. If it's a good track, then I hope it charts and sells well. Let's not get carried away though, bear in mind that: Rolling in the deep never reached #1, Set Fire to the rain never reached the top 10, and Rumour Has It never reached the top 75! So nothing is certain.
  15. What about 'Silver' by Hundred Reasons- got to no.15 in 2002, higher than Echo and the Bunnymen
  16. Ha ha, it was definitely 17 when I went and dug up this thread again. I see now 10 more people have taken the time since 21 charted at 12 yesterday to 'predict' it will drop from the top 10 in June
  17. 17 people can give themselves a pat on the back ;)
  18. Using the 2006 top 100 list, Adele's 19 would be in the top 60, and only 300k away from being in the top 40. So there's a chance that if Adele's 3rd album sells well enough to reach the top 40, by the time it gets there, it might be joining 21 AND 19.
  19. Charlie. My first post was being light hearted and informative. It was you that took it the wrong way and responded in an over-reactive, grumpy and downright patronizing way. So whether or not you spend a lot of time behind your computer screen typing posts on this site, you need to look at how 'excellent' a poster you are. Herbs- you're right, of course it's not a travesty that 21 could become top 3. There are millions of people in the UK that prefer Adele to Oasis, Oasis to Adele, Abba to The Beatles, etc etc with any two of the top 10 bestsellers. It's completely subjective as to what the 'better' music is.
  20. Hence the importance of you preparing yourself for it. Especially as you already seem a bit annoyed :P
  21. Well, prepare yourself for it, because it's going to happen before the summer. 21 has shipped over 22million copies and is currently selling 1-2 million worldwide per month

Wow, that's even worse than your first attempt. It doesn't work visually or aurally. Ok, we'll move on ;)

    A) it wasn't funny, don't be proud of it. B) I presume the humour is meant to rest on the fact that 'fattest' is spelled a bit like 'fastest'. As a play on words, it's rubbish. As a statement of fact, it's incorrect. Adele is around average BMI for a UK female, and there have been many larger females to have big selling albums. C) if you love her, it would be nice to learn to spell her name with the correct letters, in the correct order.

OK guys, so I thought I would try to put the list of Adele's UK chart records in an as easy to read system as possible (as there are a lot of records). Obviously there are loads of other "round the world" records, but this is just the UK ones. Everything relates to the album 21 unless stated. There may well be additions. There may be the odd inaccuracy. I hope not, but there were one or two I couldn't be sure of. Plus there are 2 "soon to be achieved" records. If you do think something should be added, or is incorrect, feel free to say- in a nice way! P.S. Spicefunk, feel free to incorporate this into your original post if you like ;) ADELE UK RECORDS FROM THE 21 ERA Biggest selling album: - ever by a female - ever by a solo artist (in a few weeks!) - ever in digital sales - of 21st century Most weeks at no.1: - by a female (21 wks) - by a solo artist (21 wks) - by UK female in career (22 wks) - consecutively by a female artist (11 wks) Biggest calendar year sales: - one album (21, 2011, 3.8 million) - all albums (2011, 5.0 million, ~5.2 if including LATRAH) Most consecutive: - top 10 weeks by female artist or solo artist - weeks over 100k (12 wks) - weeks over 20k (52 wks) Most total weeks: - over 100k (14) - over 20k (57 up to 18/03/2012) - in top 10 (by UK female.
