I do agree with Michael on this actually. Hillary is a great politician and will make an excellent president but she's not a particularly strong presidential candidate in the sense that she doesn't feel particularly adept at getting herself elected. There's a reason the polls are vaguely close right now, she didn't immediately dispatch Bernie (a totally unviable presidential candidate) and she lost to Obama in 2008. Against a stronger republican candidate she could struggle.
  2. I agree, 'Break The Rules' was a much more unique and exciting song than this.
  3. This is just... what. "I wasn't informed enough to make a decision so I decided to make my boyfriend's vote meaningless".
  4. If you want to discuss Eurovision with us then do it here. Nobody cares about your terrible YouTube channel.
  5. Yeah I'm gonna say no to this. Most iconic since Circus, absolutely (might have some contest with TTWE here), but while 'Work Bitch' has been pretty impactful, I do think there's definitely still broad sections of the population that would be absolutely clueless if I tried to bring up 'Work Bitch' with them. 'Womanizer', I don't think evaded the attention of anyone under 40. 'Work Bitch' probably gets a little more exposure than 'Womanizer' nowadays but that's not enough to make up for the overwhelming presence that 'Womanizer' had upon its initial release, especially given how much 'Work Bitch' went under the radar initially.
  6. I'm glad the slogan isn't just a fancy way of saying "Gather", they've felt really repetitive recently. Really easy to find political meaning in it if you want to, though.

The point is that you do not want an idiotic conspiracy theorist in charge of the world's most powerful country. Even if she doesn't intend to get rid of vaccines, the fact that she probably would if she thought she could get away with it should be enough reason to vote for someone else. I'm generally kind of embarrassed for anyone considering voting for anyone except Hillary. Trump is Trump and both of the noteworthy third party candidates are shockingly incompetent. Jill Stein, beyond her hatred of vaccines, has called Hillary worse than Trump, aired an ad in which she pretends to debate with Hillary and Donald from their actual, real-life debate, and has called for the US to transition to a war-time economy in the present moment, in which there is... no actual war ongoing. Most of this stuff can be found just by checking Google News for her. Gary Johnson is just perpetually high and that's enough to assess him. Honestly it's hard to believe such a dire group of candidates could all have assembled at the same time. It's a miracle that the democratic candidate is competent and it's shameful that there's any sort of contest.

Dying for the debate tomorrow. It's going to be a huge mess.
  9. Excited to see the quality of the entries next year. Here's hoping there's at least one Dulcima.
  10. Nooooo. I love Helena but I really don't want another Ira and countries turning to former winners/generally successful contestants in desperate times never works out.
  11. I really just feel like there's too few episodes for this, I'd like the seasons to be longer than they are going to be. Two episodes per book just doesn't sound like it can do them justice for me, but am I alone in that? Maybe if it were longer it'd drag horribly.
  12. Are you sure she wasn't calling it irreverent?

@Addy, if you don't want Apple Music then you can just get the free subscription to watch it and then cancel it afterwards! I know a lot of people doing that. Hope everyone who's going has fun tonight, hopefully she will put on a great and lengthy show!
  14. They might just mean that she performed songs without too much vocal processing whereas a few years ago it was a lot of the more robotic songs.
  15. I's not going to be country guys, come on. It will be pop with some guitar strings at a push.

God, no way I could watch this. I couldn't sit through it if it were anything less than a clear win for Hilary.
  17. She did perform DYWCO, it's just not in the YouTube video for some reason. I don't have an alternative link to hand, though. My favourite part is the outfit, it's really nice to get a break from leotards and I can't believe she went with pigtails. That's such an unusual look and it works so well.
  18. I realise the deadline has passed so feel free not to include my scores obvs but I decided I'd give it a go: 10. Invitation 09. Make Me (Ft. G-Eazy) 07. Private Show 11. Man On The Moon 08. Just Luv Me 07. Clumsy 10. Do You Wanna Come Over? 08. Slumber Party 08. Just Like Me 09. Love Me Down 09. Hard To Forget You 04. What You Need 09. Better 10. Change Your Mind (No Seas Cortes) 08. Liar 07. If I'm Dancing 09. Coupure Electrique 05. Moodring

I'm glad Mary's left, as the loss of both her and Mel & Sue means there's basically no draw for me to actually watch the C4 version. I'm very happy to treat this as the last season.
  20. Feel free to say I'm very wrong but Jonathan Ross seems an odd show for Britney promo? Isn't that show the typical "new-ish indie act" promotion vehicle?
  21. Most exciting Superbowl act in years for me. Really really interested to see what she does for this, because this is exactly her area to shine in.

I still play it, but I have like no desire to talk about it. There's just like, nothing to talk about. As regards how popular it is, I still see people playing it basically every time I'm out but it has definitely died down a fair bit.
  23. France confimed not to take part? That's disappointing. It wouldn't really make a difference but I was hoping Grassi would push for taking Eurovision in all its form as seriously as possible.
  24. One more thing: RedOne's last major hit was 'Starships'. 'Pound The Alarm' if you want to be generous.
