I'm genuinely struggling to comprehend this. Like, you realise this is a music video rate, right? Have you just gone blind? Or something else? I don't know how anyone could ever think that the 'Me Against The Music' video was completely devoid of merit. Excellent choreo, Britney looks incredible and has amazing attitude, the setups are great... what's the problem? The Madge scenes are a bit awkward I guess, but that's it. MATM is gonna be a very easy 10 for me. Easily in her top 5 best videos.

You should really say where this stuff is coming from. "A guy from Exhale claiming to be a source" is not reliable, and you get people's hopes up if you don't point stuff like that out. Anyone who claims the 'Make Me' video is coming without real evidence of being a source (e.g. having been provably right about stuff in the past) should have their info taken with an ocean of salt. Video before VMAs for maximum hype and exposure and blah blah is a Britney fan's current dream come true. Claiming that's gonna happen is the laziest way to get attention.

I'm really surprised she's releasing independently, I had no idea she was passionate enough about music to release it after losing major label support. It's nice to see, so hopefully she'll manage decent sales.

It's cos while 'Radar' is completely boring, 'Make Me' is both boring and irritating.

I haven't been able to get proper radio updates for a few days but I expect she got about 4.3m AI yesterday which is really great. Hope that can stay solid or improve. I think it's gonna take a few days to get top 20, the closest song dropping above Brit is Meghan's 'Me Too', which is currently 1100 spins ahead. I'd estimate 4 days until Brit is top 20 IF she keeps up current progress.

I wonder just how many #1s she'd have if she had actually released physicals for people to buy of her early singles. Her peaks improved so much after downloads came in. 'Gimme More' was her first time top 5 in the 21st century, wasn't it?

Agreed. I don't think the original video would have been a masterpiece at all, but it would have had some amazing things going for it whereas this is her worst ever music video. You're talking about an 8/10 video versus a -1/10 video.

It's not part of a bigger plan. They literally used a screengrab of the video for the album cover - this is intented to be taken seriously.

Really wish they hadn't added rugby. Like, fine sport and all, but I get antsy watching such a long sport because I worry about missing other, quicker stuff.

Yeah I'm the same. When Britney Jean was shit I was just like whatever, it was surprising and disappointing but I moved on. I moved on from 'Perfume' being dull as dishwater, too. The 'Make Me' video is legitimately an abomination though, and the album cover genuinely being a still frame from the video... *shudders* I'm not sure I'll ever be able to hear the song without seeing/hearing the video.

I really hope the terrible iTunes response to the video convinces the label to release the original because even outside of selfish reasons, I think it's borderline necessary. Maybe the original was "a bit much" but most of Britney's iconic moments were called "a bit much" at the time and it never hurt her then. She needs a video people will want to stream (the new one will do woefully for views) and a video that will get people interested. The reshoot is neither, the original is both.

That video looks bad but it's believed by most people that she was joking. She was llaughing immediately before and after calling him that, which wouldn't make sense if she was actually pissed off.

This isn't a publicity stunt guys, don't get your hopes up. If it was a stunt they wouldn't have used a still from the video as the album cover - they didn't have LaChapelle's art anymore so they threw something quick and shit together instead. Maybe they'll release the original but it won't be because they intended to, it'll be because their hand was forced.

Just catastrophic. I cannot remember a worse Britney video. I cannot be the only one who found it incredibly creepy when her friends were watching her have sex with that man? Like, boundaries, girls. And the sheer desperation they showed when it was cutting out was just... what. Show your friend and a complete stranger some respect, weirdoes.
