Espresso Anyway that's not the point I was trying to make. If you listen to a Lady Gaga song you couldn't imagine it sung by anyone else as it has her personality all over it. She does not have one song that tells us about her as a personality. Anyway not going into it anymore as its just my opinion, agree to disagree. I love Houdini and Future Nostalgia I just don't like her as an artist. And that's okay we ate all different and entitled to our own opinions xx

I think she's peaked, we had a drought of big popstars releasing and she temporarily filled that space. And it's not that I'm anti dua as I have really liked most of her stuff but it all has felt I come from a rich family I've been manufactured to get this far. Even comparing this to Rated R is crazy

I think the issue is she rose to a level of expectation which she didn't warrant. I think lockdown really helped the success of Future Nostalgia. I've given this another listen with headphones and her voice is just not it, there isn't any personality. She very much feels like an artist who has absolutely zero to do with the music. The music isn't bad in my ears it's just not there. Doesn't help that I saw her live and was absolutely atrocious so already have that bad taste. But I've got Houdini and thats a goldmine.

Don't like this album at all on first listen her voice isn't sitting with me right either. Houdini a career highlight, this album a miss.

Week on and Fortnight has clicked and is one of my favourites. Still only spending time with the first half and can solidly say its my favourite Taylor album and my favourite album this year. The more you listen the more personality each song has and is easier to see how different they all are.

Joseph its the text when you ate on the main index for example latest post in pop forum is difficult to read in the colour and size without zooming in! Great work anyway!

Liked all the changes so far but that blue is absolutely horrendous in my opinion very medical and dated. Not as easy to read anything on home page even with the latest post. And the 'Single' 'Artist' which is in use in dance forum incredibly jarring

Could be but she did say she had several very good collaborations coming out before summer. We know one of them is in Spanish!

I found her extremely annoying before Folklore. I dont think she is any shape or form the best out there, and shouldn't warrant the success and praise she is getting. But I think she connects with a lot of demographics. Had other artists released this much material in short time (actually shocked not many follow in footsteps as I think that's what the general public want now) they would be on same level. I don't for one second think the majority or people like her as an artist as there is just no likeabilty, the songs the lyrics and the sound since Midnights is unmatched by any other artist. I think its a bizzare case as I genuinely still don't think even though how successful she is will be remembered as highly as the greats in the future. She has me in a chokehold with her recent outputs but I think she and the team have made some clever decisions to get to this height.

Is it samey? Yes Is it a problem? No She should have waited a while between releasing both 'discs' for the album ad its a lot to take in. However I when listening I don't really see it as individual songs it's more of a continuation of sound which I enjoy. From someone who really did not like her output prior to Folklore she's found an extremely comfortable sound. Absolutely perfect music and lyrics to enjoy and zone in on.
