  1. Sweet Melody had a bunch of remixes/versions to buy and stream to chase the #1, 10 versions discounted on itunes, plus a Little Mix member was tweeting fans screenshots of showing how bought multiple copies, which encouraged other fans to do it to try and be noticed by LM member. plus fans raised £1000 to bulk buy the song in UK. so obvious desperate tactics by LM and fans to get that #1. so was just giving an example how artists and certain fanbases chase #1s, when other artists/bands get called out on buzzjack for doing far less. Afterglow had 1 version, and Ed Sheeran hadn't post anything about the song on his IG or social media that week to encourage fans to go buy/stream it that week to try chase a #1.
  2. Niall Horan just had single CDs for Heaven, Harry Styles had single vinyl for one of his songs, Elton John and Dua's 'Cold Heart' only went #1 because of signed CDs, UK music article stated didn't have most streams overall that week, and went #1 because of CDs. Majority north american pop/rap artists or k-pop artists now have 4-10 digital versions discounted on itunes and their webstores for BB Hot 100. fans don't even listen to the songs but delete and mass buy again to count for charts. Little Mix 'Sweet Melody' only went #1 in UK because had 10-12 discounted versions (with single, standard and deluxe albums, dj remixes, acoustic, clean and dirty, or whatever) on uk itunes. Dua Lipa tried something similar with several discounted versions of song but was denied #1 on BB Hot 100 that week. plus some artists caught using auto-pen signed singles like demi and ariana, or sell discounted digitally signed singles cover art for a limited time to boost sales, like the weeknd and taylor
  3. so did Lewis Capaldi released all 3 versions of signed CDs with free postage this week. I thought they weren't being shipped until May
  4. Ed Sheeran already said a while back that he wasn't expecting this latest album to do big numbers, or have big smash hits on radio.

United Kingdom iTunes: 1. Eyes Closed 20. Eyes Closed
  6. Will Miracle be on Ellie's upcoming album Higher Than Heaven. Maybe on the deluxe version?

Miley does care about the US charts though because she has the original and demo version of Flowers on her album, and has 4 versions of the song for 69c on her webstore - original, alternative cover, instrumental and demo. she also asked her fans to use River in Tik Tok videos . You will find that a lot of north american artists topping the BB Hot 100 have added many remixes/versions to their webstore with discounts, or have special editions, so fans rush to buy before end of tracking week

Funny how people slam Ed Sheeran for actually hand-signing CD covers and artcards, when bet their faves are the ones selling multiple versions of digitally signed singles for a limited time during a tracking week to reach or stay to get to #1 on BB Hot 100. Or caught using auto-pen like ariana, demi and justin etc . Ed's just doing a quick initial, so easier to do than a full signature (like when greeting a fan or signing their merch) plus it's a fan service, lots of fans collect artists merch and CD/Vinyl. ridiculous and petty to claim interns do it

Yes Ed is often promoting artists albums & singles on his IG, especially for the UK, even ones that never end up charting, or if just an album track, not an official single.

Not sure why the snark towards Ed Sheeran, when Elton John was the one who contacted him to record a xmas song together, and ladbaby contacted Ed mid 2021 about a collaboration, so they gave him their xmas song to parody. nothing was done last minute just to chase a xmas #1. Ed and Elton could have just released 'Merry Christmas' xmas week to get #1, as it did spend 3 weeks at #1 December 2021, plus the proceeds were going toward Elton's AIDS foundation and Ed's music foundation. Ed has been on a social media break for 7 weeks and won't be back until 2023, hasn't even mentioned ladbaby's new song, so can't see him running to the studio to record a remix of it, and Elton hasn't promoted 'Merry Christmas' this year either to help it chart higher but it's still in UK Top 5 without remixes. Elton also contacted Ed last year when he was #1 to say he was coming for Ed's #1 spot, and then released signed single CDs, so seems Elton is just as keen as other artists for a #1 song

I see last week OCC singles charts had used Justin Bieber's photo for #1 All I Want for Christmas is You by Mariah Carey ( although corrected it now). Are both versions combined for charts since Justin has a duet with Mariah?
  13. Since the UK singles chart didn't start counting youtube views until 2018. So does The UK's Most Streamed Songs Of All Time Top 200 list include for example Ed's 'Shape of You' views from Jan 2017, or from June 2018?

Ed Sheeran's Spotify page looks the same to me, celestial still has the blue pokemon cover and is under new releases/singles and the equals (tour edition) doesn't have celestial added to it, unless it's just the UK? Spotify Global 200 chart it's still the blue pokemon cover art, checked both global and UK spotify charts. Apple music, Celestial hasn't been added the Equals (tour edition) either. Celestial had been added to Ed's Equals & the complete collection playlist, which is just songs from various albums, and most artists have one of those playlists, and hasn't been added to 'This is Ed Sheeran' playlist.

Beyoncé has released several remixes for 'Break My Soul' and new one with Madonna. do they all count towards 'Renaissance' album sales for chart, or just for 'Break My Soul' in the singles chart?

Bam Bam and Peru were both on Ed's Spotify page as new releases, and 'This Is Ed Sheeran' playlist. 'For My Hand' doesn't exist on Ed's spotify page or 'This Is Ed Sheeran' list, plus the music video is on Burna Boy's channel, and Ed's team haven't posted any direct links for fans to easily find the music video on Burna Boy's music services, maybe because Burna Boy is more focussed on pushing his new album and single 'Last Last' which is discounted on UK itunes and impacted US radio this week, also released 'Vanilla' music video this week. :)
