Fleur may peak higher in her first week as she has an X factor performance on week of release to boost her. Long term who knows. I'm also reading that Sax will be on the Asda Christmas advert. Seems they are looking after her better to me. I agree with Gooddelta also. its a great song for radio and should be getting much more airplay. The Olly Murs song for example is getting loads of airplay as usual and Ben has kept up with it pretty much on itunes with barely any. Airplay is all important.

Yes I noticed that. He looked a bit nervous anyway but that didn't help!. I read so many positives comments though, I think people just like him so they are quite forgiving. Well most people :) I liked the light show etc

Ah ok. I haven't watched XF regularly this year but if I do it tends to be on the Sunday afternoon repeat. I guess more people are in Sunday than Saturday.

Ben will be performing this on the XF on Saturday! Has there ever been a "guest" performance on a Saturday show before? Barring the final of course. I must admit when I saw Fleur's tweet about performing on the 8th I thought Ben was being shafted. Relieved that he is performing first as it should be really.

He's just tweeted he will be on XF this Saturday. I don't mind saying I am relieved with Syco's track record. Fleur is performing on the 8th. I don't wish to see it as a competition between the two for promo but if she had performed first that wouldn't have been a good sign.

Yep Syco making it as easy as possible for him :lol: I understand what you are saying and I have seen that other big artists "struggling" with the same strategy. Its just like I said as an XF winner the wolves circle quite quickly. I believe Ben will do well and is holding up well with next to no promo but as a fan itching for the promo to kick in! With Syco's record I just don't trust them tbh.

Re XF as a fan of Ben, although I agree that the album is more important and it might make sense to perform then, having so little promo for the single which is currently at 17 on iTunes and could possible not even be Top 40 by the time he performs given the streaming hitting him hard (if it is 13 November week) that sets him up for the usual of being called a failure before he has even started. He was actually #8 on sales alone last week, which wasn't too bad at all for OA/OS but all some people saw is he didn't make the Top 20. I just think its a PR disaster?

I read somewhere that its Little Mix and Ellie Goulding this weekend. I have no idea what they are doing, its a mess for both Ben and Fleur tbh (unless she does get to perform release date which would be a huge boost) Ben has an acoustic version out this Friday and it would be the perfect time for him to perform. I wonder if there is some reason he can't perform it yet, like they booked a substitute duet performer or something for a certain date.

There have been snippets and she has a 90 second preview on Itunes (the latter Ben Haenow didn't have as an example and he seemed to do better) Most songs seem to be OA/OS these days and the amount of pre-orders seem to vary. Obviously more established artists will do better. I'm only going by Itunes positions of course. Hers just seemed quite low to me, so maybe they felt they needed to rethink promo or something. Who knows.

Maybe they are trying to build up pre-orders as so many big artists aren't doing great with OA/OS (and Ben entering at #21). I don't think her pre-orders are that high.

That's exactly how I feel about her voice. I would never say she can't sing (she can clearly sing in tune etc) but her voice is irritating to me. And this is made worse by the almost blanket coverage of her and being told how great she is all the time. Similar to how I felt when I finally saw her BRITS performance of Someone like You. It was built up so much when I saw it, it was like "Was that it"? It was a good vocal but all that adulation? Not for me.

I am agreeing with you entirely. This feels a bit weird ha ha :) Adele has a good voice but I've never understood the fascination with her and the level of her success. A lot people like how she's so "normal" but for me she comes across as trying to be normal and that's not the same. Anyhow, we seem to be in the minority on this one.

I think the word you are looking for is lickable that's LICKABLE :lol: I'm not sure about the cover but as long as the album is good I'm not too fussed.

Sorry if this has been asked before but the total plays that are listed on Spotify are they UK if you are a UK user or a worldwide total?

Climbed back up to 8 briefly after being at 10 yesterday but now at 9. Very tight between him and Sam Smith atm (they keep swapping) It's quite steady. I think it will definitely rise after the video premieres tomorrow and when he gets that XF performance.

Thank you Liam and Jay :) I actually preferred the acoustic version of Something I Need so quite excited for this. I guess this idea came about because Kelly can't sing with him.
