It will be interesting to see their first weeks sales to see who would have won that one. I don't think releasing the same day was good for either. I think it might have depended on who had the better promotion.

He had massive marketability and a cracking voice. That's Syco for you however!

Such a bummer and it could be any of these, my hunch was the music video wasn't ready but who knows! If this means it gets a bit of airplay before the release date that will be better in the long run. Only yesterday he tweeted he couldn't wait for us to hear it on Friday. I actually dm'd Ben about this why wasn't it being premiered before the release date. Maybe he listened lol :heehee:

Yep airplay is always key. If you can't hear it how can you like it.

Yes I agree but I think they can both sell to the young market for example for different reasons. Their music will of course be very different. Unfortunately its always going to happen (the comparisons on how well they do etc) but as a fan of Ben as long as he does well I am ok! I do have a feeling that Fleur's core fanbase is being a little over estimated by some of her fans but I guess we'll see how they both do.

I think its going to be great, I am just fed up of waiting to find out!

Tbh I'm not a fan. It was just someone earlier the thread was wanting her to make Top 100 as Ben did but not sure it will happen now, I think he got to #75ish? I'm not one for comparing the artists after the show really but maybe its a little indicator. Haven't even heard the songs properly yet of course.

Pretty much everything Jonjo said :) Although I do wish the album was being released a different week (its so crowded around this time of year) but if he can make number 2 with good sales I will be happy.

Ah ok thanks. I don't know why I had the impression their sales had gone down but I guess when you are that huge its still better than everyone else.

Does anyone know what 1D sold first week on their last album? Is there any chance they won't get #1?

As much as I think this chorus is damn catchy, I'm looking forward to hearing the verses and their individual voices, away from the rousing chorus.

I can't recall where BTHE charted but its still my favourite of hers.

When you think of some of the songs on Breakaway that didn't make #1 its a crime.

Ben is 30. I'm not sure when the song premieres, we seem to be getting a tiny bit more info each day so maybe by Christmas we may get there! I'm hoping at least by the end of the week so it can get some plays before its released next Friday.

I liked what I heard although very brief. Just want to hear the whole thing now. Not very patient me :) Yes that was my line of thinking re Kelly. Maybe if the song does well here and elsewhere, they may give it a push in the states. Let's see :)

No need for steadying. I just thought if the single was released there eventually having Kelly on it will help him. I don't need to "forget it" though thank you :P
