  1. Agree entirely. It's all so safe. My music taste isn't exactly wild or "out there" but they seem to go for family friendly as you say. Songs that Grandad will dance to at wedding but kids aren't embarrassed about. For me Justin has always had the whole package. He can really sing, really dance and he has lots of charisma. The top British male popstars seem to trade off their "charm" alone and not a lot else. Great to have him back. Was devastated he didn't sing on Jonathan Ross. That appearance did him so much good though. I didn't see one bad comment after on Twitter. Everyone seemed to love him. Excited for the album.
  2. Yeah sounds plausible. I knew Justin was popular but I've been pleasantly surprised how much excitement there is about his return to music, so I hope he does get decent airplay. Having said that I don't like it when they play certain artists non stop like that. It got to a point where I knew exactly what was coming. Tedious and they make you get fed up of songs you didn't actually mind. I watch most of my music on TV now. You see the same people but not quite as often.
  3. Maybe Heart have swapped Justin for one of Katy Perry, Olly Murs or Adele who they used to have on a loop before I gave up on Radio. It would be an improvement :)
  4. Praying he gets it! Love the song and its so nice to have a male popstar that's exciting back on the scene.

Bit behind, but thought Justin was fantastic. Some much needed star quality after Robbie Williams!
  7. Keen to hear this. Saw them at the 02 twice last year and they were amazing. So pleased that so many years after their peak they are still around.
  8. And this is a perfect post :) Still play it all the time...
  9. Oh God I adore this track. Although almost everything he does is a million times better than most pop stars  Futuresex/Lovesounds one of my most played albums ever. And Like I love you is one of my fav vids! Really excited he's back! Can you tell :cheer:
  10. 5 for me. Oasis, Abba, the two Michael Jackson albums and Dire Straits was bought for me when I was little.

I'm happy to let it go. My first post today was taken way too seriously was it not. I was just a joke as the response seemed so angry. Anyway good luck with the Moderator interview :)

Well thanks for that, much appreciated. But I have to state that anything I said was in response and if you call someone retarded (which was what started this) why is that acceptable? I don't see how anything I have said is in any way worse to what Umi or Oricon has said. I think if you read this back all I'm doing is questioning what's been said to me. Anyway, I don't see the point in getting your Knickers in a twist about someone's opinion of a "song", but I don't think posters should be able to get away with name calling and insulting people. I just gave as good as I got.

So if someone called you retarded and said you were talking utter shit for having an opinion, you wouldn't respond? I didn't say it wasn't music either or that I didn't like it. In fact I said my kids liked it. I've explained above what I meant & it was ignored so.....the post was a complete overreaction to my original post and I stand by that. My reaction was to something else entirely. As I said there's no point this going back and forth with those two but I respect you as a poster which is why I have explained.

I'm so sorry for not being on the board when you posted the other post or missing it. I have a life to be getting on with! I insulted her? but she can use bad language over nothing and it's fine though. Messed up! And what the hell has Joe McElderry got to do with anything? You know nothing about my personal circumstances, yet think you are somehow qualified to question my intelligence and my personal life. The only person looking idiotic here is you. That's nothing new though from what I've seen and I won't be wasting anymore of my precious time replying to you. There are plenty of reasonable people around here to talk to.

I'm sorry but telling someone they are talking "utter shit" just because I made a point is not exactly balanced is it? Nor is calling someone retarded because they pointed that out. Is there a need to resort to such language? What did I say that was so offensive in the first post? Absolutely nothing. I don't mind this tune as I said my kids love it, but to me its more of a gimmick than a real song, more dance craze and phenomenon. A complete one off. That is MY opinion which I'm entitled to without being told I'm talking shit or being retarded. No need to be so angry my dear.

I don't need to argue with overly aggressive people who resort to insulting people who don't agree with them. If I am retarded I don't know what that makes you my dear. Always the same....

Still attending those anger management classes I see
  19. Perhaps but we can all pick holes in every post and take it literally if we choose too. It's like he said, read between the lines. He doesn't think it's deserving of that kind of acclaim. That's how I read it anyway.
  20. Don't want to speak for T-Boy but surely he is saying the opposite in that others will make the assumption this is a great album because of the amount of copies sold? The British public are bunch of sheep at the best of times...
  21. But the constant plugging and praising of this album is fine? Not everyone likes the same thing and they have a right to say so. I don't understand the level of her success & this forum is about her so I've said so. I have similar opinions of many artists that sell well, Michael Buble for one but this thread is about Adele.
  22. I don't think anyone is upset. Just expressing an opinion as you do on forums......
  23. Depressing isn't it. I've said many times before the UK public love "average". I've seen that live performance at the BRITS many times and there is absolutely nothing vocally special about it. It seems getting dumped and crying shifts units lol. Add to all that how her voice grates on me and I just don't get how she's sold so much (expect for the saturation in airplay around that time which was ridiculous) I think because she's so ordinary people relate to her, a bit like Olly Murs (the both benefit from being girl/boy next door and people thinking they can be like them) Adele can sing adequately though, although as I said her voice is not for me. The amount of people I've heard saying how she doesn't look like a pop star and look how well she's doing etc, it's like she proves some kind of point.

It's not really a "song" though its just a gimmick. A very good one though. My kids still love it and that's who its aimed at.
  25. Gotye for me too. We are Young and Titanium very close though...
