I saw this yesterday. It is overall a great piece of cinema. The first hour or so is utterly absorbing, if a little tough to take. Leo is fantastic, you really feel his pain, he made it hard to watch! The scenery is beautiful also. Probably about 15 minutes too long but it doesn't ruin it being a little slow at times. Tom Hardy also brilliant. I have a feeling (although I haven't seen all the other films nominated) its going to win best picture at the Oscars. It has all the elements of a film that does and has all the momentum. At the very least Leo must win! Quite frankly, what else can he do!?

Absolute travesty he's never won one imo. If he doesn't get it this year I may be forced to hunt down members of the Academy myself LOL

So happy for Leo and The Revenant looks awesome. Can't wait to see it next week! Echo the sentiments above re Sam Smith winning. I mean how? What a whining mess of a song!

Not sure if I'm too late but here goes :) 07 The Phantom Menace - has grown on me over time and the final 3 way light saber duel one of the best Star Wars moment over the entire series. 05 Attack of the Clones - My least watched but a few decent moments 08 Revenge of the Sith - Best of the Prequels, I just feel Episodes 2 and 3 would have been better had they got someone who can act to play Anakin! 10 A New Hope - Can still watch this over and over and over (pretty much the same for all the original trilogy) 11 The Empire Strikes Back (I'm not one for giving 11 but it is so perfect and I have separate it somehow) 10 Return of the Jedi - Love it and underrated I think. 09 The Force Awakens - Loved it the opening sequence was fantastic and the movie overall moved at a fantastic pace. Great fun :) I have only seen it once so it might get a 10 once I have and I love the characters more :)

Agree but if a lot of people had connected with her during the show they would have bought the winners single to support her. They didn't get caught up in her "moment". Where are her core fans? She should have had an initial boost and then fallen away once people realised the song wasn't strong. First day sales were terrible in comparison to other winners. Not the first to get a dodgy song choice.

I agree Cowell is full of it (being polite) and she's not the first to be set up for a big fall. Its a mixture of things making this a failure though. The song, Louisa herself is not a very interesting winner (and as I said previously completely over hyped) and a little bit of XF fatigue thrown in. I don't think she would have won any other year (poor competition etc) but all that said I do have a little sympathy. It can't be easy to deal with.

I was no fan of Louisa on the show and didn't particularly care whether she got to #1 or not but this is beyond awful for her. At least most contestants get that glory moment and have a year or so until their original material comes out before people start crying "flop". Absolutely shocking result. One minute she's being told she's the best thing since sliced bread and the next this. Poor girl.

Agree entirely. The show is declining but this is about Louisa too imo. They should stop over hyping people too. Simon saying she may be the best ever on the show is just laughable. It puts people off. She pretty much has one key and that's shout.

I really like that final two. I would prefer Vana to win but Joseph would be a good winner too. I thought he was great tonight.

Tbh I didn't know what the winners single was gong to be until Sunday night as I haven't followed that closely but it seems they have been strong in the voting pretty much the whole way through, with very little between them some weeks. I just think if they really wanted to they could have given them something that suited them. I think the show got the winner it wanted. Tbh its an awful song even for Louisa but it is far more suited to her.

Just had a chance to look at the voting figures. Although Louisa was the front runner, there wasn't as much of a gap as I thought there would be between her and the rest. I guess that was the reason for the awful winners song choice for RnB! They couldn't risk it!

I'm not a fan of Louisa but of the two definitely the right result. The winners singles is so dull though not sure how well it will hold up. I actually enjoyed Adele's performance as well. Not normally a fan of her voice but that was good.

Last year when they leaked Ben/Fleur it was accurate in that he winning by a wide margin (but said won by 50% instead of 50% of the vote iirc and that increased in the final) but on that occasion they provided figures) I predicted Louisa will win easily and still think that but the British public never cease to amaze me. To be fair RnB seem like lovely lads but they should not be winning a talent show imo

And I appreciate the reasoned response :) I just feel like if you're (not you personally, just general) going to write off a negative opinion as invalid because someone is not a fan of said artist, it can seem reasonable also to invalidate a defence of that because someone is a fan and they can do no wrong in their eyes. For example I see Sammy's posts as quite refereshing because they don't follow the "she is the greatest thing since sliced bread" theme that is often visible around here. Don't get me wrong its XF and I really don;t take it so seriously anymore. I just think the balance can be a little unfair. Peace and all that :) Re the ratings I'm not so surprised. XF has been a TV juggernaut and I have lost interest over the years and come back to it because I guess there is something about it that s addictive viewing even if you moan about it! But i do think it has run its course now. I do wonder with Adele performing on the show she may even beat the winners single to #!! (If she sings Hello of course)

Well we seem to have a difference of opinion on it here and that's what I meant. I was just being polite in saying so. To me it was clear and I have no doubt she was others don't agree and that's fine. I have no problem with anyone disagreeing with me. It just feel like because certain artists are liked around here that people who don't agree with the majority get belittled (like the c**t and muppet comments for example aimed at Sammy)

Its funny how a discussion gets "ruined" when its not what people want to hear but as I said in my last post happy to leave it there. Someone replied to me asking me to explain my "indefensible" comment and I did. We don't all fall for the hype and we have a right to say so. I haven't been rude and people calling people "c**ts is ok but a valid opinion is not it seems. Oh well.

Because she also mimed the opening while standing completely still. There is a difference between adding some backing vocals than having the whole track being played in the background and just singing/mouthing along with it (at times mics were not even near mouths) Anyway that will be my last word on it as if people can't see it was not live well I don't know what else to say...

Am I the only one who thinks Reggie and Bollie don't have a cat in hells chance? I think the vote will be at least 65/35 for Louisa if not more one sided! This year is really poor and the fact they are in the final two shows that surely? Having said all that it would be hilarious if they did do it.

Yeah but he can sing live :P And it was no 21 haha! Fact is Ben's performance has nothing to do with Fleur but you can't argue with what I said (ie she was miming) so you lash out. Fair enough.

Oh cmon Little Mix are decent.good vocalists but Fleur has always been about the performance not vocals.
