Hurts are performing on TFI Friday on Channel 4 next Friday evening. :yahoo:

So do I. It's just WOW! Am I right in thinking only Some Kind of Heaven is an "official" single. Or is Lights too? It's just they were on TV on Sunday promoting Lights.

They're approaching fans on Twitter and I happened to be one of the UK based fans. When I said I'd be interested, the assistant producer rang me to discuss it. I said I'd seen on Twitter the other groups fans they are trying to contact for other shows in the series - Rudimental, Take That, Little Mix amongst others. I said that compared to the others Hurts seem an odd one in the mix (not that I'm complaining). He said some of it is down to the artists who are free - but then said that didn't mean Hurts were definitely playing. He was playing his cards close to his chest lol

For any Hurts UK fans. Sky TV are in the process of trying to find fans to be in the audience for a show. They contacted me through Twitter and are struggling to find UK fans. If any of you are interested then let me know and I can pass your details onto them. The planned TV shoot is Weds 23 September.

Hurts have announced their new single called Slow is out 11 September.

A truly mental video and myself, daughter and husband all watched it grinning like idiots at Theo really getting into it. I agree exactly with what you're saying. It's catchy, but to be honest it sounds like a rip off of Get Lucky. :puke2:

I really like the new single and looking forward to hearing the new album.

It was very good when they sang it live, though I was thinking it would be Nothing will be bigger than us as the next single for some reason.

They need to do some more promotion I agree, but I was sort of hoping it might at least get them noticed more. Maybe I'm just being optimistic. :cry:

I haven't heard it played on Radio 1. I think someone said it had been played on Radio 2. They released the video at midnight last night and I think it's really good. It's so radio friendly that it would be a shame for them to be snubbed yet again. I could imagine it doing well if only the record gets played, but maybe I'm just biased as I really like their music. Sorry, yeah, I've mentioned it on there. I dunno that Blue are any better than anything else we've sent to the contest. Maybe the Hurts song wasn't good enough, but if they wanted them to do it surely they could have said yes and asked them to write something else? He looks absolutely gorgeous in it. Though my daughter saw the video for the first time and was laughing at how he was running in it. She said "he looks gorgeous and then he runs and he's burst that sexy bubble." :lol:

The sad thing is that Hurts have offered to do it in the past. They also showed an email on Twitter asking them to possibly do it. Instead, they opted for Englebert Humperdinck. Hurts are well known on the continent and I'm sure would do very well. They've actually hinted too that they'd write for the Russian entry as the British don't seem to want them.

I don't get it either, but I'm guessing that was the idea. Do you reckon it will actually end up as a hit now that there's a video? Such a shame if it doesn't as the video looks pretty expensive and it's their most radio-friendly song I think.

What's 6/10? I'm a bit confused :blink: Just been to their gig at Scala in London and some kind of heaven sounded great with the gospel choir in the background. Their new stuff seemed to be well received and there was one up tempo number I could imagine doing really well in the club's if radio gets behind it. They were brilliant tonight and I really hope this new album gets them the recognition they've worked so hard to achieve.

On Graham ' s radio show I'm assuming? Would have loved them to appear on his TV show. You never know maybe radio 2 Steve. They play listed Blind so I guess it's possible, but I'm not holding my breath lol
