I'm not sure why they didn't playlist Miracle either. A lot of people I know said it sounded too much like other bands such as Coldplay/The Killers. Maybe it just wasn't distinctive enough for them. I personally loved it. Didn't Radio 2 tweet them and Nicole Sherzinger in the same week and say they had more important (or something like that) songs to playlist? Nicole still got a hit - unfortunately Hurts didn't do so well out of being left off.

It's a good job we all have different tastes in music. :lol: I'd say bland is the last thing the album is. The only track I really don't like is The Crow because it sounds too much like Chris Izaak's Wicked Game. Interview on BBC breakfast yesterday:

By the time I got on there they only had Standing left and me and hubby are taking my dad, uncle and aunt who all love Hurts, but are getting on a bit and can't stand for long. Work told me I can't have the day off, but I do three out of four weekends for them so I'm ashamed to say I had a go at the boss (who I then found out had been told her job's in consultation that day). Talk about feeling like a real sh!t for throwing a wobbly after hearing that. Anyway, the upshot is they've agreed to let me leave off early. Ooh... I don't know. Fab song and would make a great single, but I also love Help too. There's some cracking tunes on the album.

I do think their record company should be shot. They don't seem to have a clue about how to market them here. There was all that stuff with the video for Miracle being pulled because it upset people due to religious references. It was then re-shot and tbh I could have probably shot a better video myself and I'm cr@p at getting a camera to even focus.

So there's still hope for Hurts then. :lol: Though just to get a decent single chart entry would be good.

Oh, that's a shame. No Help or Sandman :( For those of you trying to get tickets to the Troxy. By 9.10 it looked like everyone had sold out apart from the thieving sods at places like Getmein. Gigs and tours still have some spare seats.

Digital Spy are saying Hurts - Blind is being released 12 May, so not sure which is now correct.

So pleased to see them playlisting Hurts. An excellent track.

I agree. My favourite is the first half too. Though I love Help too - that's a beautiful song.

I hope Hurts don't crash out of the Top 40. It's an ace album with some really good tracks on it.

Hurts are releasing their second single from Exile on 15 April called Blind. Oops - just seen it's already up there. :blush:

Absolutely fab that Hurts "Blind" is down as record of the week - though why they've never playlisted Miracle is beyond me.

Sandman is my young daughter's favourite - she says it's cool :lol: It's also my phone ringtone. I don't know why I really like it. I also love Miracle, Exile and Blind after listening to it a couple of times. Just seen that Blind is down as Radio 2's record of the week and it says release date 15 April.

Thanks. Is that on I-Tunes? I hope Miracle climbs but I know their singles didn't do very well last time it was only their album. I wonder whether they need to tour more here rather than concentrating on Europe. Maybe I'm just biased. :lol:

Such a shame that Hurts new song Miracle doesn't seem to have made a dent in the charts so far. A fab tune! The best I can hope for is a top 10 album by the looks of things. They were sent that tweet saying they hadn't made the radio playlist the same week Nicole Sherzinger was. I just don't understand why the British radio stations don't want to support them - they're so big in Europe.

Hurts - Exile

Why are Hurts not on any of the playlists on Radio 1 or Radio 2? I'm really confused as to why British radio stations just don't seem to want to promote them when they are a British act who are big in Europe.

I can't wait to hear the rest of the album. I'm holding out until mine comes from Amazon and have only heard The Road, Exile, Miracle and Sandman. Congrats on being on one of the tracks. :D

I absolutely love Sandman. I haven't heard all the tracks yet, but I wonder if this will be a future single.

I don't understand why Miracle isn't on any radio playlists yet. Olly Murs is and his single comes out the same day. It's almost likethe powers that be don't want Hurts to succeed.

According to Hurts own website it isn't released until March 10th - the day before the album.

But Bastille have been listed and they're sort of similar. Or is it just me who thinks they're fairly similar, but I think Hurts have been around longer? Hopefully they'll playlist them next week.
