Yeah I had absolutely no idea for this one, couldn't even hazard a guess!

For the H clue, at first I was thinking it's a song from the 50s or 60s as back then the same songs by different artists did used to chart simultaneously, but it didn't take me long to cast my mind back to the X Factor days and remember that it happened for 'Hallelujah'. Never knew that 'Imagine' had been banned from airplay, I went for 'Give Peace a Chance' for that clue!

I'd be interested to hear what others say, but I can't really think of any technological advances which would lead to other ways of consuming music which are even on the horizon at the moment. So it's probably something that hasn't been invented yet. I would imagine that streaming will be around for a long time.

You should do exactly that, and then we can revisit this post in ten years' time to see who was more correct!

Oh I'm glad Flying Pickets was the correct answer for that. I wasn't 100% confident because the clue said "An act whose hit was recorded without conventional instrumental accompaniment" so I initially I was looking for an act who only had one hit!

Yeah you've undertaken a huge amount of work @nine¾ for doing writeups for every incorrect answer from every person! Not sure I'd have made the effort to do that!

OK that genuinely seems harsh, docking a point for his surname being spelt incorrectly I'm not a big fan of Eurovision so I had to google the names of winners and then it was fairly obvious.

I'll take it! I never even thought of Ashanti for the first one, I was convinced Abba was the answer you were looking for, even though it didn't quite fit the wording correctly. I was equally convinced about Bryan Adams so when that came to me I just locked it in without a second thought and stopped thinking about alternative answers! I wonder how many more times that's happened for me in the quiz, maybe I haven't done quite as well as I'd hoped

The way things are at the moment it will probably hit number one in April 2027 but I'll take it!

Thanks bgoood, Tove Lo could see her new single join it in the top 10 next week! Hey James! Yeah 'Watch It Burn' is so good! I don't know if it's even possible to know what her worst selling single is in this day and age but yeah it definitely deserves to chart. I get what you mean about DNH being faceless and generic but I'm really into it! Carly top 3 is a stretch but we'll wait and see. No 'Petal' really is not winning me over, sorry Slayyyter is slowly growing on me but we'll see how much it does. Thanks

I didn't vote for the winner but well done to @uhsting and thanks for another enjoyable edition @Chez Wombat! Army Of Lovers really were all or nothing, I got several 12s but very little else! I've always loved how eccentric and camp they are so it was my perfect choice for this edition. I certainly can't complain at a 7th place finish - although that really is becoming a habit, out of my last 18 BJ contests I've now finished 7th five times guess it explains why 7 is my lucky number lol
