Honestly can't we just leave Natasha Bedingfield in the 2000s? I'd much rather we revive some of her brother's early singles.

Selena Gomez & benny blanco - I Said I Love You First
Wait wasn't there already a deluxe version with 'Stained' on it? So this is the deluxe deluxe?
-
Mimi Webb & Meghan Trainor - Mind Reader
Sounds good from the clip but I definitely need a new bingo card for 2025!
-
Ella Henderson - Me and You
Sounds like 'Carry Me Home' part 2. I'm so on board I'm sunbathing on the deck!

Sergej's Personal Chart 25.04.2025
Hi Sergej! What's the reason for a 10 year old Chvrches song re-entering at number one?! (in fact why are so many Chvrches songs entering this week? 'Get Away' is my fave!) Nice to see the chart run for 'Azizam' mimicking the official one (and it's also currently peaking at #3 on my chart too!) Good to see a big climb for 'Ordinary'. Is it amazing? No. Is it Alex's best song? No. Is it deserving of a multi-week #1? Probably not. Am I enjoying it? Very much! Of your non-Chvrches entries, great to see Addison Rae sneaking in, what a great song, I love the 90s production Great chart :)

Alex Warren - Ordinary
But do you really think the line "I can be the cat, baby, you can be the mouse" from your beloved Gigi Perez is any better than something from 'Ordinary'?
-
Alex Warren - Ordinary
I think the lyrics are fine - they're no worse than the lyrics to some of the other current hits! In fact I quite like the lines: "We'll make the mundane our masterpiece" and "You got me kissin' the ground of your sanctuary" Nowt wrong with 'em!

Big Songs That Were Ineligible For The Charts
Out of interest, why did she choose to withdraw its chart eligibility? Seems odd that an artist would want to do that!
-
Big Songs That Were Ineligible For The Charts
Why was it ineligible, do you remember? I don't recall that at all and Wiki doesn't have an answer either!
-
Gracie Abrams - The Secret of Us
It's a shame no one's talking about 'Blowing Smoke', it's fast becoming one of my favourites from her! It was playlisted on R1 for a few weeks so it was pushed as an official single but it doesn't seem to have done anything chart-wise. It's so much better than 'That's So True' or 'I Love You I'm Sorry'!
-
Big Songs That Were Ineligible For The Charts
It was released in a couple of (not "many") territories yes but this is a UK chart forum so I presumed we were discussing songs played on UK radio which didn't chart - and all those other Oasis songs mentioned I've heard on the radio but I don't ever recall hearing Don't Go Away on the radio.

Big Songs That Were Ineligible For The Charts
I never realised Space Cowboy was Norman Cooke 😮

Total bangers not on streaming that DIDN'T get to #1
I've always loved that whole album they made and I'm gutted it's still not on Spotify - and for that reason, it's become one of my most played CDs in the car 🙂
-
Big Songs That Were Ineligible For The Charts
I don't think any of those are particularly well known? If we're talking Oasis then surely The Masterplan, Acquiesce, Champagne Supernova and Morning Glory would be way way ahead of Don't Go Away lol
-
Big Songs That Were Ineligible For The Charts
Kylie's 'Your Disco Needs You' springs to mind. And also 'I'm Loving It' by Justin Timberlake from the McDonalds ads, I can't remember what the deal was with that, was it just never released as a single? 'Sonnet' is absolutely sublime btw, what a song
-
Zara Larsson - Pretty Ugly
What a track, sure, but what a hit's a bit premature lol
-
Other Radio Playlists
Yeah I've often wondered whether the playlisting of a song on Radio X means it's an official single. I've come to the conclusion that it does!
-
Linkin Park - From Zero
'Unshatter' is great! They're really delivering at the moment!

Streaming Services Chart Discussion; W/C 25/04/25
The Lorde really is coming to save us 😮 I thought it would be an easy top 40 hit when I first heard it but it's now looking like a top 10 debut could well be on the cards!
-
Capital FM Playlist 2025
They do seem to go through phases of playing a certain artist a lot - they've done it with Avril, Sugababes etc. recently too.
-
Aitch & Anne-Marie - LUV?
I didn't have high hopes for this but it's actually pretty good! 'Psycho' was great too so they clearly collaborate well.
-
Faithless feat. Bebe Rexha - Dollars and Dimes
That's a collaboration I bet no one had on their 2025 bingo card. Unfortunately it's also a collaboration I probably won't be feeling the need to listen to again.
-
Alan Walker
There's not a lot of artists as prolific as Alan is right now. He released an album in January and already he's released another 3 singles since then! (This one's quite good btw)

Mango's Top 40 (21/04/25): I don't wanna get undressed in the twilight zone
Thanks Seltin! Miley's song still needs to grow on me, but I'm really into the Ravyn one atm. Jade should still be comfortably on top next week 😃
