Alex Warren - You'll Be Alright, Kid
This might be the funniest thing I've ever heard

Will a self contained group ever have a no.1 single again?
Technically yes, but it's not really a group in the same way that this thread is obviously referring to.

JSG'S Chart, #141, 23/07/2025
Hey James! Your #1 and #2 are still the wrong way round but yay at 'Fame Is A Gun' entering! New Ava Max is an improvement on her last few too. Nice chart *.*

Tame Impala - End Of Summer
This is good but I would quite like a radio edit.

Alex Warren - You'll Be Alright, Kid
OK here's an impartial review from someone who's not a hater: me. I really enjoyed part 1 of the album last year and 'Burning Down' and 'Bloodline' are two of my favourite songs of 2025. But the new songs (i.e. part 2 of the album released last week) are definitely a lot weaker on the whole than the first part. Singles aside, I really like a couple of the upbeat ones ('Getaway Car' in particular) but the other songs sound a bit beige and boring tbh. I'm a bit disappointed as I was expecting better!

Mango's Top 40 (21/07/25): Can't decide if we should drive over the cobblestones in the midnight sun
Thanks Sergej! I wouldn't have minded Dior getting a few weeks at #1 tbh. Yeah I'm not crazy about Boy Crazy lol. Nor Heat nor Plastic Box tbh :/ Yeah Ava's song might be her best in a while, not that that's saying much lol Thanks! Thanks Seltin, I think you'll like what's happening in my chart next week then!

Mango's Top 40 (21/07/25): Can't decide if we should drive over the cobblestones in the midnight sun
Hey Riser! 1 - Yep, 7 weeks now! Nearing the record of 8 weeks set last year by Paloma Faith 12 - Crossing your fingers worked! Now cross your fingers for top 5 20 - Oh I didn't know either of those two artists were Ohioan! What other Ohioan artists are there? Who's the most well known? 24 - It's still growing on me a little but I know I'm going to get bored of it very soon. Is the movie worth watching? I've heard mixed reviews! 33 - Oh I really like this! I'm surprised because you're usually quite a big JoBro fan! Hopefully it will grow on you. What's the Bee Gees connection though? 35 - I very rarely watch music videos these days unless for a specific reason. But this sounds like a specific reason so I will seek it out! Thanks

'Daisies' isn't exactly dance though, do they play a dance mix of it?

The Pop Factor: Season 1 • THE FINAL RESULTS
Well I have to say even though I was rooting for a PSB win, I'm equally happy for Avril to have done it, a very worthy winner indeed, she has some absolute gems in her discography, as highlighted by this contest Xtina's 3rd place finish was definitely the correct result! Congrats to @Scene and a massive thank you to @Calum for running this, I'm echoing all the comments already posted, I've enjoyed every second of it. Definitely the most creatively presented contest on Buzzjack I've ever seen! I'm sure it must have been a lot of work and taken up a lot of your time but honestly you could not have done a better job. I'm already hyped for the next season, whenever that may be! Just a couple of suggestions for next time, if I may - whether they will work or not I will leave up to you! I think at the start of the contest, either everyone's entries should remain anonymous or everyone's entries should be revealed - I was having trouble keeping up with who sent what and whose entries were still anonymous! I'd love for there to be a couple of themed rounds - I know this can't happen for every round as not everyone's discographies are equally sized, but maybe a coupe of simple themes like "ballads" or "bangers" or "biggest hits". I'd relish the additional challenge of having to pick to a set theme! But yeah I honestly can't wait for the next one

Mango's Top 40 (14/07/25): All Mr Electric Blue needs to survive is a rope and a plastic box
I'm not completely sold on the Benson or Jade songs yet, but give it time. The MGK song is definitely a banger though! Thanks Seltin Thank you Sergej!

Bop Idol 4 - The Results
Only just catching up with this now, what a dramatic finish Congrats to @Addy!, you really know how to win a BJ song contest! And thanks to @Julian_, exemplary hosting! Thanks to @Calum for my only 12 points, Only The Young did not deserve to finish that low. I actually sent Girls Aloud's 'Miss You Bow Wow' first, until I was told that it had already been sent to a song contest on Buzzjack years ago. Apparently it only finished 27th out of 29th though so maybe it was a blessing in disguise that I had to reconfirm! Anyway I'm already looking forward to Bop Idol 5

Alex Warren - You'll Be Alright, Kid
On first listen, it doesn't hit quite as much as the first part did - although admittedly that took a couple of listens to start growing on me so who knows. The more upbeat ones are definitely the most instant - 'Getaway Car' and 'The Outside' in particular - but there are certainly no bad songs on here. And I'm still loving 'Bloodline'!
-
Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Dolce Vita
Yeah but 'Relentless Love' sounded great from the snippet and then it turned out a bit flat, so I'm reserving judgment this time!

But the general public don't live in the warrensphere

Streaming Services Chart Discussion; W/C 18/07/25
They should have gone with one of the more upbeat ones from the album as the focus track, 'The Outside' and 'Getaway Car' both sound really good compared to the blandness of 'Eternity'

The Last Dinner Party - From The Pyre
