The Pop Factor: Season 2 • THE FINAL RESULTS
'Heart Of Glass' would have quite easily trumped 'Amazing' for me! In fact I think 'Heart Of Glass' is so iconic that it would have beaten anything by George, with the possible exception of 'Freedom' - that would have been a very close battle for me!

UK Singles Chart new entry of the week | 2026 Week 12
It's a 'None of the above' for me this week I'm afraid. 'Porch Light' is probably the best of a bad bunch, but I don't like it enough to be able to bring myself to vote for it. The Sienna Spiro song is such a yawnfest, I just don't understand what people are liking about her.

Buzzjack's Ultimate UK Number 8 Single - The Final - Results
Oh wow at 'Yes' getting the highest number of 50 points - such a shame it drops out so soon despite that. It's right up there as one of my songs of the 90s, absolute gem of a track (btw for anyone who only just discovered 'Yes' and enjoyed it, I would highly recommend taking a listen to 'Bring It Back', another of their gems) 'Karma Police' also a bonafide classique, Radiohead do that haunting sound so well. For me it's absolutely the standout track on OK Computer and possibly second only to 'Creep' for my favourite song by them 'Sultans Of Swing' is... fine I guess, but I've never been huge on Dire Straits.

Friday Chart Predictions
King Warren on the climb again, we love to see it Thought RAYE might be a few places higher, fully expected it to debut higher than 'Nightingale Lane' but I'm not sure that will be the case now. FLO will probably miss out on top 40 this week then and it will be touch and go for Bebe!

The Pop Factor: Season 2 • THE FINAL RESULTS
Do we know the 15 members who are left in so that we can try and predict who is behind each act?
-
Conan Gray - The Best
Hmmm I'm not completely convinced by that snippet but I will reserve judgment until I've heard it in full

The Pop Factor: Season 2 • THE FINAL RESULTS
Yes forgot about that, Dan is definitely behind Nelly!
-
The Pop Factor: Season 2 • THE FINAL RESULTS
I was 100% convinced Fred Again.. was either Dan or Brer so I'm shook it was neither of them but pavi! Ace of Base being Addy though, who would ever have guessed that

The Pop Factor: Season 2 • THE FINAL RESULTS
Funnily enough I did consider sending Blondie at one point! Ngl I'm gutted to be out at this stage and apparently by a whisker too, but c'est la vie! The Weeknd wasn't actually my first choice - the ironic thing is that my first choice was Abba, who in fact ended up knocking my act out you couldn't make it up, could you! I then tried to confirm George Michael before Calum informed me he had literally just been taken! So The Weeknd was my third choice. I probably got some of the song choices wrong but I don't think there's anything I could have possibly sent to compete with Abba's 'Lay All Your Love On Me'! Anyway loving the contest so far, sterling job @Calum, and I'm looking forward to seeing how the rest of it plays out!

I would've just said "because the songs aren't being streamed as much as other songs by other people"

Buzzjack's Ultimate UK Number 8 Single - The Final - Results
Another three solid songs there, all very different but all classics in their respective genres!

sombr - Homewrecker
Not you being about 4 weeks late to the party!

Pop Track of the Week 2026: Week 12
Very unexpectedly between Lizzo and Ruel for me this week, and I ended up going with Ruel!

Mango's Top 40 (16/03/26): American girls are reading the book of love on Nightingale Lane
Hey Seltin! Zayn will keep climbing yet. Maisie coming for the top 10 I'm thinking! Not sure about #1 but Sombr definitely coming for the top 5. We'll see if he can keep going! Thanks

'Hypnotized' is such a banger! I can almost forgive her for the ridiculous pronunciation of "hypnotis-ed". Almost.

RAYE feat. Hans Zimmer - Click Clack Symphony.
Definitely sounds better in the context of the video!

Radio 2 Playlist 2026
I have to admit, the Scouting For Girls song is pretty catchy!

Buzzjack's Ultimate UK Number 8 Single - The Final - Results
Three great songs in a row! 'Sweet Harmony' is definitely a dreamy classic, and 'Steal My Sunshine' is so much fun, the spoken parts are pretty cheesy but I love them! One of most perfect summer songs.
-
FLO - Leak It
It's the best thing they've done FULL STOP.

Buzzjack's Ultimate UK Number 8 Single - The Final - Results
Or maybe Bananarama's version leans in more to people's pop tastes rather than being to do with recency? A 40 year old song isn't really that much more recent compared to a 56 year old song!
-
Bebe Rexha & Faithless - New Religion
Still snubbed by R1 as of this week. I still think they could add it next week though, especially if it looks like making the top 40 and hanging around a bit.
