Buzzjack's Ultimate UK Number 7 Single - 1st Semi-Final
^ Yeah I knew Roy recorded it originally but I always refer to Cyndi's as the original because it was the first released version of the song, so it's the first version people were familiar with. I know Roy's version is generally better regarded though and that I'm in the minority who hugely prefer Cyndi's version!

Buzzjack's Ultimate UK Number 7 Single - 1st Semi-Final
I've got so much love for 'I Drove All Night', it's up there with my favourite songs ever, so I'm disappointed it's gone out relatively early. Because I've always loved the original so much, I'm not too keen on Roy's version, but I already know it's going to do better than Cyndi's :( 'Winter In July' is a masterpiece too, the production and vocals and everything about it are incredible

Pop Track of the Week
My comment wasn't a criticism, I was just curious as to what the criteria were for including a release. The eight most prominent releases of the week seems fair, I was just surprised to see the BSB listed!

Sam Smith - Love Is A Stillness
God this is a proper snoozefest. Won't be listening again.

Pop Track of the Week
Out of interest, what's the process for deciding which 8 songs are eligible every week? Backstreet Boys seems like a very random inclusion here

Alex Warren - Ordinary
Added straight to the B-list on Radio 1!

Louise - Confessions
Did anyone manage to listen to any of it?!

Louise - Confession
Incredibly rude of Spotify to not feature her anywhere on the NMF playlist, not even lower down :(

Alice Chater - Bed of Lies
The only time I've heard the name Alice Chater before is when she was the featured vocalist on Professor Green's 'Got It All' in 2019... so I've just given this a curiosity listen and wow it's quite the bop :D gonna have to go away and check out some of her other stuff!
- Tom Grennan - Shadowboxing

Buzzjack's Ultimate UK Number 7 Single - 1st Semi-Final
Never heard 'Wordy Rappinghood' before but just given it a spin - it is indeed very quirky and fun! EDIT: Just played 'Genius Of Love' too and that's not bad either. I had no idea that 'Fantasy' sampled anything!

Number one hits that name-drop other chart-topping acts
Neither Kate Moss nor O.J. Simpson have had any charting singles, let alone a number one

Mango's Top 40 (10/02/25)
Thanks Sergej :) Hey Seltin! I'm not sold on 'Sports Car' yet but maybe given time... Jade probably won't get too much higher  Don't get your hopes up about 'Messy' going top 10 lol Thanks :D

Streaming Services Chart Discussion
I think Gaga getting a solo number one in 2025 was always going to be a tall order, Kendrick or no Kendrick! It's impressive enough that she's challenging for (and probably going to get) top 3.

iTunes Weekly Thread w/c 7th February 2025
OK, so the WEIRDEST thing just happened. I'm listening to my music library on random shuffle today and it contains 30,000+ tracks. So what are the chances of 'Happiness' popping up?! Because no word of a lie, that's exactly what just happened!! MY COMPUTER HAS LEARNT TO READ MY MIND

Buzzjack's Ultimate UK Number 7 Single - 1st Semi-Final
'Runaway Train' is a great song even if it's not my favourite Soul Asylum song (that would be the wonderful 'Misery'). 'I Wish It Would Rain Down' is quite easily my favourite Phil Collins song - I'm a sucker for a power ballad and this one is up there with the best!

BRITS - Best British Single nominees ranked by sales
Yeah Alex Warren is definitely American!

The Amazons - 21st Century Fiction
I wonder if they stole that title from the song 'Love Is A Mutt From Hell' by Wheatus? Would be an almighty coincidence if not!

Capital FM Playlist 2025
I know but even so, you don't often see indie bands on there, do you? But he's very well known and commercial in comparison to Good Neighbours
