Greetings once again from myself, @awardinary and @Paddington James! Welcome to this month's contemporary music poll. Each month, 20 new releases are selected to go head to head, with three winners which will then go up against future monthly winners at the end of the year to determine the ultimate winner of 2026. Here are May's contenders, choose up to ***THREE*** songs only that you feel are your favourite from the selection. If you wish to post a rate of the selection of songs in the thread, please feel free to do so. You can listen to all the songs from Spotify link. APRIL WINNERS: Kiesza – When I'm Dancing (4 votes) OneRepublic – Need Your Love (4 votes) The Strokes – Going Shopping (4 votes) These three tracks have made it through to the year-end poll!

I think she's immune to jinxes lol. The only thing that's making me doubt it is that it's country, but she's going hard with physicals which her stanbase is gonna lap up so I can't see how it can miss really.

Yep, 'Cut To The Feeling' is an 11/10 banger Dedicated Side B and The Loveliest Time both had some good tracks too though so I'm still excited!

OMG have I woken up on some parallel universe this morning? Imagine if this goes viral!

New Carly is always exciting, even if I haven't cared that much for her last couple of eras!

Benson coming to cover the iconic Dirty Dancing theme song?

Can't tell if that's sarcasm or not lol but I really enjoyed Friend Of Mine!

Looks like even Ariana can't #reinreinmeinin then - but we're thankful to Taylor for coming to save us next week! Agree with the comments that her soundtrack singles have been hit and miss (though 'Carolina' deserved to smash way more than some of her actual singles) but it looks like they're throwing everything at it so there's no way she's gonna miss #1 (as long as the song's not terrible).

I didn't realise the results were coming tonight I always play football on a Monday night so I'm not usually around. Just catching up with the results now, I'm doing about as badly as I expected lol. Thought more people would be here for an All Saints slowie! Oh please as if I could be replaced as your favourite. And considering you gave me 18 points you're still definitely my favourite member with the word 'Spice' in their title 'Your Kisses Are Wasted On Me' has always been my favourite by them!

Thanks DaTilt, that's a great top 10! Hey Seltin! Sombr hasn't finished clmbing yet, nor have Tyla/Zara or Niall! Olivia will get a #1 someday but probably not with this song, sorry Thanks

I'm not quite sure what planet you're on but there's no way in hell R1 are going to playlist the Hawkstone Farmers Choir.

Entered at #2, not too shabby.

I'm not really feeling 'Passenger'. Maybe the full version will hit harder but I think it's the sort of song that will quickly get annoying. And this coming from an Alex Warren fan!

What exactly are these stats you keep posting?

Yes I forgot to add that in, thanks for the reminder

Far from a hit? It has a very good chance of debuting at #1, top 3 at worst. It couldn't be more of a hit!

Another new song dropped today. Looks like we're getting half the album before the album!

Did nothing for me on first listen. Do I need to give it another chance?

In 2022 Obsessed started with a week on the C-list. Before that, Heatstroke/Feels/Faking It/Nuh Ready all started life on the C-list in 2017/2018. So basically his more chilled tracks rather than his uptempos.

Lily x JADE not even on the Spotify NMF playlist, how rude!

15 new adds, what a veritable treat! Unsurprising though after the Big Weekend playlist. No huge surprises about what's been added/replaced, but I'm very pleasantly surprised that there's no Drake. R1 displaying taste For the purposes of playlist continuity I'm ignoring the last 2 weeks, even though this means some songs will miss 2 weeks on the playlist even if they have received plays in those weeks.

I wish she wasn't speaking the verses but that aside, this is a certified BANGER. I really hope it doesn't flop!
