Hi Jordan! 1 - Well, since I started my personal chart in 2012, only two songs have ever debuted at number one - once in 2015 and once in 2021! So Alex Warren is only the third artist to ever do so but it did have a slight advantage before its release because I kept hearing the teased snippet of the bridge/chorus on social media so it was already lodged in my brain!! Hoping it hits big for you too! 2 - Ordinarily I'd have said yes but 'Fever Dream' is too much of a juggernaut to overcome at the moment I think! 11 - Yeah and this is easily one of his best! Looking forward to seeing what he delivers next. Definitely a rising star! 29 - Same really, but this is sounding better with each listen. 36 - I agree that it's a very nothingy album, but this is actually the one song I like from it! Maybe it does make more sense in the context of the film, but I haven't seen it yet. Thanks Hey Seltin! All three of those will keep climbing, and Sombr is definitely getting a top ten smash with this Thanks!

Bit of a weak week (no pun intended) for single releases, for me it was close between Mel C and the Pussycats, but Mel C just edged it for me (even though it's not quite as good as her previous single!)

My money's on it being Delta vs Ruel!

'California Christmas' is quite an infectious little Christmas song. Will definitely be playing it again this December!

'Midnight Sun' is the longest runner on Radio 1's playlist this week. Crazy times!

Another yawnfest of a song from her. But then again I wouldn't have expected anything else. Don't get the hype for her at all.

Actually, looking at her last few singles, 'I Can Do It With A Broken Heart' started out on the C-list, as did 'Is It Over Now', 'Cruel Summer' and 'Karma' (so 4 out of her last 7 entries) so we shouldn't be too surprised after all. They did all go on to make the A-list though, which I'm sure this one will too. Her last single to stall on the B-list was 'The Man' way back in 2020!

I'm sure it will have been someone just doing it as a joke - wish I'd thought of it!
