Anyone else thinking @Lee_J11 is HRVY's mentor?

I presume all votes with HRVY bottom are still being disregarded, right?

Hey James! I'm happy with 'Don't Leave Me On The Dancefloor' being #1 cos it's the best song of the era but 'Run Away With Me' back at #2 is sending me I did listen to 'Club To Your Arms' the other day but I don't rate it as much as 'Just Be Bodies' I'm afraid. 'Marianne' is a welcome addition to the top 10, I'm predicting top 3 for this next week! Great to see Sombr stable in the top 10, deffo one of my songs of the year. Shame DNH has taken such a tumble

Ah OK yeah that definitely makes sense!

I don't understand how a random album track from HRVY is outperforming certified banger 1 Day 2 Nights but I'm here for it!

I'm not sure I quite understand the scoring system. This part makes sense: 5 points | chosen by less than 35% of players 3 points | chosen by 35% to less than 50% of players 2 points | chosen by 50% to less than 75% of players 1 point | chosen by 75% or more of players So the more players that choose the same cover as you, the less points you get. But then this seems to contradict that logic: 0 points | chosen by no other player Surely if no other player chooses it, then continuing that some logic, that should give you maximum points? Or am I misunderstanding how it works?

I think at this point there's never been a more obvious future #1 than Babydoll!

Regardless of how it's scoring though, it's still a definite advantage on an otherwise level playing field - guess it's not too much of a big deal though, unless it eliminates one of the other entries by 1 point or something lol

Personally I think any kind of single (official, promo, grat, focus track) should have been avoided in this round as per the requirement. Spending 9 weeks on Radio 1's playlist certainly gives 'The Treadmill' an advantage over other tracks here!

Look at HRVY with all those top half votes!

1 Darin - Om du var min · Another week, another Darin banger! Definitely need to dive into his discography as I'm really enjoying what I've heard so far. 2 HRVY - Never Be Us · I know the selection was limited given the theme but I think this is the best possible pick for HRVY, not quite as bangery as the last two picks but definitely the best song from the EP! 3 Lewis Capaldi - Heavenly Kind of State of Mind · I prefer this one out of Lewis's two albums and this is a good pick from it. 4 Tom Grennan - If Only · Evering Road is probably my favourite of his albums and this is a decent opener to it. 5 Sam Smith - Lose You · Are we sure this wasn't a single? It was on Now 115! I'd rank it about average in his discography. 6 Gary Numan - M.E. · So this is what Basement Jaxx sampled in Where's Your Head At! So yeah it already had that going for it, and the rest of the song wasn't too bad. 7 Calvin Harris feat. Tinashe - Dollar Signs · I quite liked the drop but the rest of it was a bit meh. 8 Sam Fender - The Treadmill · Are we also sure this wasn't a single? Radio 1 usually only ever playlist official singles. Either way I'm not a huge fan of this one. 9 Roosevelt - Forget · Not too bad, but it just sounded a bit samey all the way through. 10 Damien Rice - Amie · Apologies to whoever sent him but Damien really isn't doing it for me.

It's legit my favourite thing she's put out since the Midnights era, I don't get the hate for it!

Before I saw you posted these I was gonna suggest Cotton Eye Joe, but you beat me to it!

HOW is Taylor not storming this?!

Oh I really like that Fontaines song for a change but I don't think I recognise many of the others. I'm surprised I've never heard that Texas song before, looking forward to hearing it!

I know a lot of these but I need to be reminded of some of them! That Adele song is great though, I'm thinking she's gonna walk this round!

I wouldn't call HRVY's song a banger but I do like it, it's the best song on the EP! Hopefully it'll be enough to get him through. I know a handful of the others but I'm looking forward to hearing the rest tomorrow

Right I've submitted my song choice! In the end I went with my head and not my heart... praying I made the right choice

They've released plenty of albums since then, most of which didn't trouble the chart, so is there a particular reason why this one is being so well received?

It's hard isn't it, trying to find that balance between personal favourite, fan favourite and what people on here will enjoy and vote for!

I'm undecided between two, from two very different eras in my artist's discography and I have no idea how to decide which one to go for the dilemma is real!

Do we know if @Jay79x's quiz is still coming this week?
