iTunes Weekly Thread w/c 20th June 2025
Seems an odd choice of song to be played on a British soap but I'm here for it picking up an extra 3 sales!

OneRepublic - The Collection
Oh I meant physically! Yeah it might hang around the lower end of the album chart for a while I guess since the streaming of all their singles will be attributed to it.
-
OneRepublic - The Collection
Yep that's basically all their biggest songs in one collection, I can't see any obvious ones they've missed. If I still bought CDs I would definitely buy this, but greatest hits are pretty much obsolete in the streaming age so I can't see this doing too well.

What's the reason for one of the best songs ever written re-appearing?

JSG'S Chart, #137, 25/06/2025
Hey James good to have you back I guess your chart is picking up from where it left off a few months ago? Good to see FUFN in the top 10 anyway, that is quite possibly my favourite song of 2025 so far 'Boys Don't Cry' is also decent and I love Katy's 'Wonder', and it always makes me, erm, wonder (see what I did there?) why the HELL she never released it as a single! Good to see 'Carry You Home' enter too - Alex doesn't get too much love on Buzzjack but he's definitely one of my favourite new artists and I demand you add 'Bloodline' to your chart immediately. 'How Bad Do You Want Me' might be the best song on Gaga's album so yay for that appearing too ❤️

CMAT - Euro-Country
Yeah, love those song titles! As for the songs, I don't like the Jamie Oliver one but 'Take A Sexy Picture' is pretty great, would quite like to see that go top 40.
-
YUNGBLUD - Idols
I'd rank it about level with his previous couple of albums tbh. I've never really liked a whole album by him but he usually has a few great songs on each one and this one is no different. Apart from the singles, 'War' is an absolute highlight, one of the best things I've ever heard from him!

Mango's Top 40 (23/06/25): My bodyguard is boy crazy in this heat
Hey James, hope you're well *.* Yeah 'Boy Crazy' is decent but it's still not a patch on her heyday classics! 'Heat' is OK but again it just doesn't compare to her earlier stuff, I wish she'd come back with a proper banger. Is that too much to ask? Happy catching up

Oasis
Managed to get tickets for Jul 30th at Wembley, beyond excited £211 each through Viagogo, has anyone else got tickets from there? Presumably it's all legit, right, there's no chance I've been scammed?

Sergej's Personal Chart 20.06.2025
Hi Sergej! Great to see Michael Schulte still in the top 3, but even better to see 'Bloodline' shooting up into your top 10! I'm still pretty obsessed with the song and I can't understand why it isn't doing better officially, it's insanely catchy and I haven't been able to get the chorus out of my head since I first heard it! Hopefully it can hit number one for you. Not really sure what I think of 'Suzanne', it really didn't grab me on first listen but maybe I need to give it more of a chance? I don't know why a random Dua Lipa album track has made your top 10 but I'm not complaining because it's a good song from a great album That new Zara Larsson song unfrotunately is a step down from her last couple of singles. I think my favourite of your new entries is CMAT, that song has really been growing on me! Great chart

Bop Idol 4 - Confirmations - Deadline Sunday 29 June, 23:59
Since confirming my artist, I've thought of at least 3 other artists who would fit this theme and have some certified bangers hiding in their discography. But do I risk changing now?

I probably missed this but what's the reason for the resurgence of the Black Eyed Peas song?

Mango's Top 40 (23/06/25): My bodyguard is boy crazy in this heat
Sup Jordan, sorry for the late reply! 1 - Yep, they seem to be racking up 🙂 9 - I think that's intentional and I'm pretty sure the writers of that also got a writing credit on this! 21 - I agree with you but this is certainly growing on me. 30 - It's good but I'm not sure I like it quite as much as 'Diet Pepsi' or 'Headphones On', though we shall see... 32 - Sadly I'm just not feeling this era very much. I'm going to listen to the album tomorrow though to see if anything jumps out at me. 37 - Oh that's good, I hope it takes off, it really deserves to be a hit! 38 - I mean they're probably related generations up the line but Newman is a very common surname in the UK! Thanks

Mango's Top 40 (16/06/25): Fame is an easy lover with a sapphire gun
Hey Seltin! Miley's song is pretty good, and the Rose and Benson songs are both bops. All three of them should be climbing next week Thanks

Mango's Top 40 (16/06/25): Fame is an easy lover with a sapphire gun
Hey James, nice to see you back! I feel the same about Benson, I wasn't fussed about him at first but I'm definitely getting more into him now. I can't say I share your opinion on 'What Was That', it's fine but far from my favourite FUFN is an absolute banger and a very strong contender for my song of the year Thanks
