MangoOoOoOo

Oh wow I was expecting Taylor to have a massive lead over Nothing But Thieves at #2, Keo wasn't on my radar for #1 at all!! #taylorisover

Which itself followed on from Choosin' TeXas

She doesn't need to spell it out, I think the Moulin Rouge reference pretty much gives it away?

Yeah I know it's done for newer songs but I haven't seen it done with such an old song before. Is there a significance to that which I've missed? It would be the first #1 with 'Zero' in the title and also the first #1 with 'Patient' in the title lol.

It's so hard to call who's gonna go this week. I think Zara will be safe because she has lots of top votes to cancel out all her bottom votes. I think it will be really close between 2 or 3 of the others though.

Looking at the votes, Mackenzy seems to be the one in trouble so HRVY should live to see another week and deliver us another banger!

That's actually a genius idea, why don't more people do that?

1 Bananarama - Look on the Floor (Hypnotic Tango) · As already mentioned, this is their last 10/10 song for me. The production is so damn good! 2 Ultravox - The Voice · This is one of the few Ultravox tracks I was already familiar with and for me it's one of the best things I know from them, such a catchy and uplifting chorus! 3 Depeche Mode - Ghosts Again · I remember hearing this when it was released and thinking how well it holds up to their 80s/90s stuff. I haven't gone back to it perhaps as much as I should have! 4 Texas - I Don't Want a Lover · This is pretty good, but I do prefer mid-90's onwards Texas! Hoping for something from Red Book at some point. 5 Sade - Your Love is King · A bit of an 80s classic, couldn't not rate it highly. 6 Years & Years - All For You · Decent enough but there are other Years & Years songs I'm looking forward to more. 7 New Order - Age of Consent · I don't know too much New Order outside of their greatest hits and later 90s stuff but there's some lovely guitar work going on in this! 8 Vengaboys - 1999 (I Wanna Go Back) · Not quite as bad as I thought it was gonna be based on the comments but also not that great - sending this was definitely a choice! 9 iamamiwhoami - chasing kites · I see that they seem to be doing well in people's votes but I'm just not sharing the enthusiasm :/ 10 M83 - Kim & Jessie · Nice production but I couldn't really get too into it. 11 Fontaines D.C. - Jackie Down the Line · Didn't get much from this I'm afraid.

There's not enough songs named after places in America in this week's top 10 tbh.

OK I've just listened to that XO song after reading the comments on here and... IT'S BRILLIANT! This is the kind of pop we need back in the charts!

Would love Sombr and Ashe to be top 10 on Friday but I guess Taylor will put paid to that

Then stop listening?

I think it's all subjective. But I'll give those songs another listen at some point.

I think it'll be a long time before I tire of 'Dancing On My Own'

Obviously Mr Brightside is a classic which I loved back in the day, but at this point I wouldn't care if I never heard it again

People are clearly feeling threatened by HRVY and his bangers, it's the only explanation that makes any sense.

Yep, mine too!

I love how everyone's got a different favourite of the four Taylor songs, when the correct answer is obviously Patient Zero (probably her best song since the Midnights era).

It was hardly pussying out, I don't rate his debut album and I didn't think anything from it would have done particularly well in the contest, so 🤷‍♂️

Oh I completely agree x

Howling at that description

I want to like 'Nicole Kidman' but I just can't get into it

I think the whole album is great tbh, the singles in particular have been really good from it!

Hey James! 'Ain't in LA' might even get a 4th week! Meanwhile 'Nicole Kidman' found rotting Yeah DNH definitely deserves top 5. Oh I think the Rose Gray song is better than Carly's - and next week's chart will more than reflect that! Agreed about 'Marianne' and #1 isn't totally out of the question but I can feel a very competitive couple of weeks coming up on my chart... Agreed about 'Joy' too, it is nice though. Thanks Hey DaTilt! 'Nicole Kidman' just isn't doing it for me. Maybe it will grow but I doubt it. Yes 'Marianne' will be an easy top 10 next week Thanks! Hey Seltin! Yeah Miley's video is great, just a shame it didn't do much for the single Loving Ashe, it will only keep climbing! Katy did well though, as did Carly. Thanks

Maybe not ALL solo males, depends what HRVY sends
