Sorry if my first opinion was stated bluntly - I'm not using the allegations to validate my dislike of his work (which I could go on about as a separate matter, but I do think these things are all intertwined - and we cannot just separate the art from the artist as a lot of people are trying to say). Of course I have read about the case (maybe not every possible article) and the fact that Dylan Farrow, after all of these years, sticks to her story is a huge telling point for me, and I think the fact that Woody Allen continues to be celebrated after all of these years despite the allegations highlights how society blames victims for their abuse b/c people love a "good movie" and see him as so talented. They cannot possibly fathom him doing such things, or maybe just don't want to. There are other things about him, such as his relationship with Soon-Yin Pevin as well as dating a 17-year old when he was 42, which I find fairly morally reprehensible (I am aware that the Soon-Yin relationship was legal - that does not simply make it acceptable and that he should still be celebrated imo, also I mean come on the fact that Manhattan was about a 42 year old dating a 17 year old, played by a 16 year old actress at the time??) It also is no shock to me that most people defending Woody Allen after these allegations are straight men. It's been over 20 years and I'm sure Mia is not so vengeful about Woody cheating on her that she would continue to force her adult daughter to continue to lie about the abuse, especially considering she has admitted to continuing to sleep with Frank Sinatra during her relationship with Woody. If you still think that Mia being vengeful is "pretty clear", well, whatever, I'm obviously not going to change that lol. Woody Allen just comes across, to me, as a total creep. That's just my opinion. And I think if you are going to enjoy his movies you need to take all his behavior and allegations into account.

It's incredible! The fact that she produced it all (I believe) is literally so incredible, and the fact that production is actually really amazing and intricate. She's so talented. Even Ellipse, which I initially thought was boring, has really really intriguing moments and lyrics imo, though I think it does still pale slightly to Speak For Yourself or Frou Frou's Details.
