Totally! What I meant by gripping is like, hearing Two Men In Love for the first time, I could tell it would do well even tho it's not like a huge pop banger or something (it had like a sort of catchy/pop structure still) - not that I wasn't into it.

But just listening to it, had I been doing my own odds, I'd place it near the bottom/mid-table - just bc it didn't really have the signs of huge winner in my ears. That being said I'm literally horrible at predicting BJSC so what do I know) Contest was overall really strong though!

Thought it was a fine first episode, besides the supermarket scene which def real intense and good. But I think it sets up the stage nicely. I hope they don't stay too long in the prison, itching for some new scenery though it is kind of nice to see them existing in everyday life.

I obviously love love Jolene but I don't know how 2 award points to it bc it just feels so obvious? (I know this may sound hypocritical coming from me but I consider Creep a far more underrated classic. Jolene is probably the first song you think of when you think of Dolly whereas I'd say No Scrubs or Waterfalls would be for TLC - plus Jolene is considered one of the best country songs of all time) - I can see it doing really well tho. and I'll probably end up giving it big marks (;
