  1. 5 Brits (not counting the Paul/Rihanna collaboration)... not bad! Does Ed Sheeran have a shot at #1 next week after the Grammys perf?
  2. I like how both Sheeran's and Sam Smith's albums are just hanging around... it's like a lower level Adele's 21.
  3. Still, #11 is very impressive!
  4. So glad for Prayer in C. Why is Ella's "Ghost" taking so long to go up?! :) Nice to see George Ezra (purely from "another Brit" point of view) bubbling under.
  5. Thanks for explaining what TEA and SEA are. Does Billboard publish a year end sales of albums? How did Ed, Sam Smith and 1D (The Brit parade) do? 1D seems to have gotten all the cool slots around Thanksgiving and Xmas to promote "Four".
  6. I was going to ask the same - hadn't they predicted 400K? What were the first week sales for their 2nd and 3rd albums?
  7. On one hand it's nice to see so many UK and European artists on the Hot 100 but hasn't it been ages since we had a Brit at #1? Adele's "Set fire to the rain" 2+ years ago?
  8. Still no sign of Ella Henderson then?
  9. jmarkiv posted a post in a topic in International Charts
It really is a fabulous song, in a lot of ways can see this having the same type of appeal as "Rolling in the deep"
  10. So basically all the hoopla surrounding K's return to the Logies and 1st global perf of IWGC didn't do anything on the charts!
  11. I'm looking for an American summer of "Rather be" playing on the radio ALL DAY LONG
  12. Has that Clean Bandit song gone to radio?
  13. So I guess both Aplin and Clean Bandit peaked then? :(
  14. Not singles related, but nice to see Kylie in the album top 10.
  15. Should be an interesting Pharell vs Aplin vs Clean Bandit battle on the chart.
  16. Where's Kyles?!
  17. Is the Clean Bandit song getting any airplay?
  18. It's also encouraging for other artists as well - they're pushing Birdy now, and Gabrielle Alpin is touring soon as well. Plus let's not forget Clean Bandit!
  19. Yay at Naughty Boy, looks like this will be a decent sized airplay hit the way it's climbing. But :( @ Latch losing points. Having said that, I didn't even think it would be a US hit!
  20. Sam Smith's song is up to #6 and the album is up to #4! Wow... nearly 24 hours since SNL but the effect hasn't worn out yet. A lot of news outlets here are pitching him as "from UK bartender to SNL" kind of fairy tale story a la Susan Boyle. R we looking at a similar success story as well?!
  21. Quite amazing... nicest thing about the digital era (irrespective of how I feel of an artist per se) is the relative ease for foreign artists to crack the US.
  22. Wow! Didn't realise how big she was until you put into numbers/facts like that!
  23. And has Kiss Me Once also gone up to #36 as well?
  24. Ditto. Wonder where all this promo was 2 weeks ago?! And I guess she'll be doing ITB on the Graham Norton show then too?
  25. :( @ Clean Bandit although I think that song will end up being one of 2014's best sellers Down Under. Hopefully a shot at #1 next week if Gabrielle doesn't steal the thunder. Not a bad drop for K's album. X fell the same way as well I recall.
