Agree. So what's going on with Marina and Cheryl? The fact that they're hovering around the 40s/50s tells me that it's not the first week fanbase sales. But having said that, they're not climbing higher. Is it becausee of restricted airplay or is the single not freely available?

I was thinking the same thing! Nice to see Cher Lloyd get a 1mil+ update after a long long time!

The gap seems really tiny amongst Cher Lloyd, Ellie and Guetta. But all have a LOT of distance to cover to catch up with Perry and Flo Rida.

But with so many new factors, I wonder if Ellie can peak higher than she is now?

Or, to add more clarity to what Umi said, it's the audience impressions of the song. There is no way to track how many people heard a song on radio, but this gives the "reach" or demographics of a radio station to the popuation it supports.

Umi, thx for the Ed Sheeran stats. I am surprised considering his big #4 debut, one would think that would get radio stations talking about and playing him. Yay for Olly though! Whilst I am happy about the Brit invasion, I wasn't a big fan of Primadonna (sounded too generic for me) so I'm not too sad!

What were 1D's US album sales this week? I do think the only act that can get in the way of 1D's nabbing the 2nd spot could be Taylor Swift's album unless 1D come up with sthg BIG for the autumn (TV special? Thanksgiving special? X Factor appearances and guest-judge?, etc.)

I kind of did think that CTS would do well if it got the right kind of airpaly. it's not a great song but the song that can do well with radio support (think Taio Cruz). But I am dazzled by Nero's climb again. Could this be a hit?!

The sudden drought in Cher Lloyd's airplay rise is baffling.

If it helps, Rebecca Ferguson maintained a top 15 placing the entire week on sale and it debuted at #23. So if Marina can hold on to the top 20 for the entire sales week, she'll have a top 50 debut for sure. I'm surprised she's doing so well in the US considering she's not been a big seller in the UK.

Looks quite odd, I suspect 1D will make it back into the top 10. Surprisingly, I agree with what you said. If not a #1 overall, it can certainly do a "Where have you been" or a "On the floor". I love the song, it's nice and commercial, I dont' know why people are complaining about it (oh wait, it's because Cheryl sang it. Had it been Kylie, everyone would've said it's the new CGYOOMH!). As for Cheryl, a few folks do remember her from X factor - the firing if not the actual 2 episodes she was on, and she's guest starring on Glee soon.
