  1. Nice to see CTS climbing, although it sounds so inferior to GYC.
  2. 10mil is quite good for Cher Lloyd isn't it, esp. at such an early stage.
  3. It's suddenly in the 60s on iTunes after weeks of languishing in the 90s.
  4. I doubt it. Jay Leno show's lost its power like it had 10 yrs ago. Ed Sheeran, Kylie, James Morrison, etc. all performed on the very same show and it did nothing for them on both iTunes and the overall chart.
  5. Aah yes, agree. I'm sure 1D will sell and sell through the course of the year. If anything, Bieber's already gotten 3-4 songs out and the album may run out of steam unlike 1D who I'm sure have some surprises/plans for the US come autumn and holiday season.
  6. And where would that be Maniac? anyway I like the song now! :)
  7. After hating it at first, I like Back in time too! BTW, what's up with Rita Ora's sudden burst into the top 60?!
  8. Or, the world's just gotten bored of Usher. In all fairness, he has had a fairly successful career!
  9. More than "Scream" (and I agree), so did Climax as it was a non-event. 40-50K is good for Mr. sheeran, that guarantees him a top 5 doesn't it? But if only radio had latched on to "A team" faster, he'd have probably done a bit higher (and gotten a higher peak). However this looks like an album that'll hang on forever.
  10. And I presume the album is now around 3.5mil+ sales YTD in the US.
  11. So is the record for most consecutive weeks at #1 Alanis' "Jagged Little Pill" at 72? At this rate, Adele will easily cake it as summer's fairly slower bar the 1 or 2 big releases (like Bieber this year).
  12. That would depend on how many formats play the song, but should go top 10. I reckon it could be this year's Bulletproof (La Roux).
  13. Wow for Ellie!
  14. Thanks Britster! That helps. So that's really not a lot then... I was thinking digital services would be more than 31%. This could actually be a hinderance for new artists like Ed Sheeran, etc. as shops like Best Buy and Walmart may not stock as many CDs of Ed as they would of, say, Usher because they don't know if people will buy Ed's album or not.
  15. Does anyone know? Rebecca Ferguson was top 15 all week long and managed a 23 debut on the BB200. There have been times when Adele was 6 or 7 on iTunes but she was #1 on the BB100. So in a nutshell, how much of %age does iTunes contriubte to BB 200? Who are the other major sellers? I'd presume Target, Walmart and Best Buy (for physical CDs) and Amazon for MP3s?
  16. I believe 19's just past the 2mil mark so it will take a while before it reaches 3mil. Prolly a 3rd album and a tour will help seal the deal. I wonder if Adele's record company will have any holiday season special planned.
  17. I love it. It's new age Daniel Bedingfield.

  19. I was going to say, it's also been a massive hit in Australia and refuses to leave the top 10. But I really want A-team to deliver the goods first., Do we know if he's got any more promo planned in the US?
  20. How nice of Taylor Swift!
  21. The thing is, radio seems to be lapping up Cher Lloyd's song faster than it took to CTS. Ideally, I'd say "oh who cares, 2nd singles never do well" but the Wanted have spent literally every minute from Feb in the US promoting the hell out, or just hanging out in L.A and getting themselves in the tabloids. So all said and done, I'd say both album and 2nd single have vastly underperformed given the effort that went in.
  22. Although in all fairness, "heart skips a beat" did peak in the 130s on release. Once he gets radio on board, it should go down well as the song is really catchy. My only issue with Olly is that his image might be a bit goofy for the US audiences. But what stands in his favour is that 1D fans will probably continue to give him a push.
  23. Cool, thx for the info!
  24. Rebecca Ferguson's album was consistently in the top 15 on iTunes the week of release and it could 'only' manage a #23 debut. Emeli peaked in the top 15 for a day but didn't spend enough time in the top 20, so going by my logic, Emeli at best will have a debut in the late 30s. I'm surprised as she's had more press coverage than Rebecca, and she supported Coldplay on the US tour.
  25. Sorry, what's that about?
