That's what surprises me about Rebecca - how UK radio has overlooked her. I thought at first, it was a problem with the 2nd single but G&G is a fab song, shame radio isn't picking it up. Let's see how the US embraces her.

40K sounds like a disaster. That sounds like the sales of a UK #1 album 6 months after release! Plus, I guess it'll give 1D an edge for now in the battle of the boybands.

Olly Murs has arrived in Australia! Hopefully the "supporting 1D in the US" tag will build some hype and get him some airplay for the single (Heart skips a beat) AND the album does well.

Adele sells close to 90K copies this week and 1D about 55K... so hopefully they are both close to the 3mil and 500K mark resp.

Adele is doing so well, shame the single can't reach the Top 15 on iTunes (although granted, everyone owns the album now!)

I'm really happy to see The Wanted doing so well. Shocked that 1D haven't picked up as fast as TW as far as airplay goes. Seems like a Take That vs East 17 battle back in the early 90s in the UK where Take That sold more records but E17 had more radio goodwill.

Is Delta going to get her arse back and promote in the UK after her Voice commitments or is she still going to waste time promoting in L.A to no avail?

Thanks SKOB! So basically there have been 2 weeks of sales figures reported after your list. Adele has sold about 150K + 90K taking her grand total upto about 2.9mil now, and 1D are probably around 430K or so. I'm thinking 1D will eventually make it to about 2mil at the end of the year with the tour and stuff. Will be amazing if the top 2 best sellers of 2012 are British!

I'm happy for both's success but 1D are overall "outdoing" The Wanted because singles and albums aside, 1D have more press coverage and hype around them than The Wanted. It's like comparing Britney and Christina Aguilera during the '99 days. Aguilera may have had a hot 100 #1 hit, but she was always "oh, and btw, there's the other new girl on the block".

I really doubt they'll bother as we'd heard about a RHI video by now if there was one. Also anyone find it funny that RHI is really doing the business in the US but hasn't really done much anywhere else in the world!

She said she may shoot a vid for it, did we ever hear anything about it? Ideally, will be nice if she can put in an AI appearance as airplay is starting to increase now. The song should go top 10 but a bit of promo can give her a top 5 (or even a #1 hit).
