How much has Adele sold in 2012 in the US? I presume about 2.8 mil?

Also Ellie's done David Letterman (and Leno too, right?) and don't think it did her great. For me, the problem with Ellie (having seen her live twice AND on TV shows) is that the songs are great but she does them awful live. That Letterman app. in particular with her banging the drums with her hair falling on her face at the start of the song was plain awful.

I think so too. To an extent that I'm also putting my money that it could be in the top 5 best sellers of 2012 in the US. They have time for at least 2 more singles this year, not to mention an X Factor appearance come autumn, and countless other shows.

I hope Rebecca Ferguson and Emili Sande take off in Oz!

I was expecting 1.5/2m+ updates for 1D especially given all the media hype around them.

1D and Adele's RHI are 'struggling' aren't they, not taking off given the hype both acts have.

That's a pathetic drop... I was thinking at least 80-90K. However, I do believe this album will pick up and sell consistently till the rest of the year. Are people really thinking MDNA will clear 200K? Is that estimate based on pre-orders?

Was thinking 1D would pick up more than 1mil spins a day. I know 1mil is still a lot, but was expecting in the 1.5mil range given the hype over their #1 debut, etc.

It seems intentional sending the song so late to radio - the album debuted at #1 purely baed on social media, and now airplay will rise and people will hear the song and buy the album/song for what it is.

Given Adele's sales declining (well 160K is still v healthy), I just hope she gets 1 or 2 weeks at #1 to beat any record. I wonder if she has any promo trips planned to promote RHI?

It's final, not official. But looking at the diff btn them and Adele, they'll definitely be #1 albeit with a few more sales that Billboard counts. So eitherway, around 180K which is what was predicted. Amazing ! And to think this album wasn't even #1 in their home country!

#62... wow, this one's taking off! Aren't they on Jay Leno tonite? Although I'm sure they'll perform "Glad you came". I think Lightning would make a 3rd good single as well.
