US iTunes Top 100 [MAR-JUN 2012]
#64 now for The Wanted As for Leona Lewis having success again.... I don't even know if she'll have success again in the UK (album 3 postponed from Nov'11 to Mar'12 to now, Nov'12) let alone the US. thankfully though, she has the voice, just depends on how her label markets her.

Syco/Columbia X Factor Finalists Invade U.S., Look to Debut #1 March 14, 2012 Another week, one more chart-topper from Columbia Records. This week, look for Syco/Columbia X Factor U.K. top three finalists One Direction to challenge Adele for the top spot on next week’s charts with their stateside debut, Up All Night, based on one-day sales reports from those retailers not selling albums for 25 cents. The deluxe edition of the album has already topped the iTunes chart in the U.S. and Canada. The band, which finished third on the British version of Simon Cowell’s music competition show, arrive in the U.S. with the kind of fan-mania not seen in these parts since the Spice Girls and the boy bands. "I always thought these guys were stars, I am thrilled for them." said Cowell The fivesome caused a riot this week at NBC’s Today Show on Monday, and drew more than 5,000 fans to in-stores in Boston and Long Island earlier this month. Their Brit Award-winning, #1 Best British Single, “What Makes You Beautiful,” is approaching 350k in sales in the U.S. The music video has drawn over 60 million views. The band will perform the song on Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards show March 31, and on Saturday Night Live April 7 with host Modern Family's Sofia Vergara. The upfront excitement has probably inflated the initial sales figures, which at this point are looking to be between 190-210k, which will set up a battle with Adele for #1. As always, we'll have a clearer picture tomorrow. The only other release of note is Equal Vision’s new Say Anything album, Anarchy, My Dear, which should do around 12-15k…unless Google or Amazon put something else on sale for two bits.

Daily US Airplay Updates - JAN-JUL 2012
That's it?!?!?! Seriously, it feels like it's been out and been selling for ages. Not too high considering the amt of high profile promo she's done inc. most of the talk shows. Spking of which I just saw her Jan'12 perf of "Lights" on Letterman and as much as I love the song, it sounds dreadful live.

On a separate topic, how much has Ellie's album sold in the US? Has it touched 500k? She did do a whole lotta promo for it, didn't she?

US iTunes Top 100 [MAR-JUN 2012]
I was surprised when L.A Reid signed her for a US deal in the 1st place, considering she's hardly been a success in the UK. Has her debut album even touched 200K there?

Sales are totally off as both acts are expected to sell in the 150/160K range.

In all honesty, I'm still stunned that Calvin got that high in the 1st place.

Daily US Airplay Updates - JAN-JUL 2012
Praying that Kelly and Adele lose spins soon so The Wanted can get a higher peak on the BB 100 soon! Nice to see "Rumour has it" catching up now that it's officially going for adds.

New Scissor Sisters album - Magic Hour
Sounds like fun with Calvin helming the project. Could get some US exposure too!

I love "Gold forever" actually, but I'm happy they're going with that and not some lame "ft. Pitbull" remix.

The Wanted & One Direction - American success
TBH, it's not uncommon these days to get a #1 album in the US with 150K sales anyway.

US Billboard Top 200 Albums - 03/24/2012 - (with sales)
Of the 8mil of "21" sold, how much in 2012 - would it be ~2.2mil or ~2.4mil? Eitherway she could just have this year's best selling album also right?

The Wanted & One Direction - American success
I'm seriously surprised @ Adele selling so much even now! But 1 thing is for sure, the top 2 will be Brits next week! I have a feeling 1D will pull it off though, the hype seems to be only growing more and more.

I saw that (1D's beautiful ) being removed from iTunes. Why?!

Daily US Airplay Updates - JAN-JUL 2012
With promo lined up as late as end April when they perform on the Jay Leno show and another one ahead of the album release, it does look like it'll hang on for a long long time.

Even with the release of an album, how come 1D aren't charting higher with Beautiful? they seem to be stuck at 10.

It's amazing to see The Wanted doing so well but what's the point given that fun. are way way ahead in both sales and catching up massively on airplay. :(

Given that they appeal to the tweens, I'll suspect a lot of them will also be rushing to the shops and buying the Yearbook album? A #1 debut is looking likely. I mean, even a 150K should get them that total!!

Daily US Airplay Updates - JAN-JUL 2012
That fun. song looks like it'll be #1 for ages, won't it? Sad for The Wanted. :( Good to see 1D increasing in 1mil increments, and is this the 1st update in a long time that Calvin Harris didn't increase by a 1mil increment?! :D

I am keenly watching - 1st they said that he'd beat her, then around late Thu/Fri, they said Adele might stop him and now they're saying he'll finish off with a 10K lead.

So is this a longest an American artist hasn't been at #1
Was just thinking that if Adele can hold off Bruce Springsteen (likely looking so) off the top, and if 1D beat Adele to the top spot (again, likely looking so), it'll be an almost 2012-Q1 without an American at #1. When was the last time this happened?
