The Wanted - 2nd Album// Singles
Performance was really awful. They have awfully weak voices and no personality. But I'm glad they didn't break into some boring boyband dance routine.

SFTTR keeps going up!! I suspect #5 on this week's BB100?

Rebecca Ferguson - Heaven
Oh God I downloaded the album last week and it's beyond fabulous! I loved that "Glitter and gold" as well as "Mr. Bright eyes" as well.

I'm surprised Glad U Came has gone up so soon though....!

#65 now.... pity taht Cowell got Tinie Tempah and Leona Lewis on X Factor and that did nothing for their success in the US!

Daily US Airplay Updates - JAN-JUL 2012
Very true. The fact that in today's world, the song did that well without a video or any kind of promo is amazing itself. Hopefully with the Grammys hype, the song can hit BB #1, and a 4th single around May (coupled with some promo appearances like American Idol) should keep 21 selling into H1.

Gotye feat. Kimbra
It's a nice song but hardly one that wows. Plus I can enjoy the song if it were played in a mall but seems so out of place on the Top 40.

Daily US Airplay Updates - JAN-JUL 2012
OH MY GOD @ the Adele update! Isn't it amazing how, with no video or performance, this song is doing much better than it did in the UK!

ARIA Charts - 09/01/12
They should just close the ARIA charts and start using the US Billboard charts!!

It is a terrible and lazy song no doubt.

What's happening with Rihanna's "You da one" btw? Seems to be inching up really really slow.

Daily US Airplay Updates - JAN-JUL 2012
That's what I'm noticing too. US Radio seems to be so much in love with Adele that they're just swapping one song with another. I'm curious if the record label will stop at the 3rd single or push a 4th around late Spring (both "Rumour has it" and "turning tables" have charted on iTunes and had various forms of publicity already like via Glee).

Daily US Airplay Updates - JUN-DEC 2011
There's just no stopping Adele! Once the year-end airplay for RITD and SLY ends, I'm hoping for major transfers to SFTTR.

US Billboard Hot 100 - 01/07/2012
Curious to see how high "Set fire to the rain" will go. Airplay's increasing so it can only go up for now at least.

Rebecca Ferguson - Heaven
That's amazing, didn't think it would sell that much! Hopefully should finish its run with 600K sales in the UK. I wonder if they'll promote her in the US as a "black" Adele, if you get my drift. I mean, if L.A can sign up Cher Lloyd for a US deal...surely this isn't out of the question!

Adele's singles sales in the US for anyone interested...
You're probably rght... which means SFTTR is past 1mil this year. Amazing single sales for an album that's closing in on 6mil! (I don't consider Katy Perry's singles sales such a big deal in comparison as the album hasn't even touched 2mil and it's been out for 1.5 yrs).

Adele's "Set fire" officially outpeaks its UK #11 on the US Billboard hot 100 charts by jumping 13- 7 !!

Adele's singles sales in the US for anyone interested...
Well, official and unofficial singles... "Rolling in the Deep" : 5,665,000 downloads "Someone Like You": 3,352,000 "Set Fire to the Rain": 963,000 (sold about 217,000 this week so don't know if this number includes that or not) "Rumour Has It" 551,000 (wow!)

Will Rihanna's "You da one" ever take off??

MTV European Top 20 2011
American dominated as always!

Shirlena Johnson - Break 6 Chains
LOL!!!
-
Ellie Goulding - Halcyon
I agree! Adele has a voice that appeals to masses, Ellie's fanbase is quite restricted and her songs get samey after a while. Having said that, what if she goes the MOR route and releases soppy ballads...?
-
Cher Lloyd - Sticks + Stones
She may make it in the US, but certainly not with the first 2 singles she's released in the UK. At best, she'll become another Jessie J and end up with 2-3 BB100 hits and a Top 40 album.

US iTunes Top 100 [JUL-DEC 2011]
Oh dear, this sounds really pathetic. But I guess it's better than having Pitbull or Flo Rida.
