I really had no idea Miley was that popular in the UK (as in, enough to have a #1)!
  2. Labrinth still top 20... not bad at all!

Nice to see Naughty Boy and John Newman flying the British flag with their singles.
  4. Radio only ever supported "Lights" and "I need your love" (and that's mostly for Calvin and not Ellie). But they didn't give "Anything can happen" the time of day either, did they? On one hand, it's a true testament for Ellie's popularity in the US that a song can stay in the top 20 of iTunes on the strength of no airplay for so many days, but it's also sad that radio just don't seem interested in her anymore.
  5. It's not at all! Especially considering the likes of Wanted seem to have done so much more promo in the US than 1D (perhaps they both have done equally but it just feels like the Wanted are everywhere), and have yet to manage a 2nd top 10 hit. But sadly I doubt radio will ever get on board so we'll have to see if 1D last beyond a 3rd album or not.
  6. I'm still amazed at how well Labrinth is holding up... nice to see Passenger slowly climbing as well.
  7. Labrinth up 52 places to #34 with "Beneath your beautiful" Ellie G new at #53 with Burn No sign of Passenger or Bastille yet.
  8. I'm surprised radio isnt' supporting Miley much!

Is the Avicii track selling as others expected here? 100K for a 3rd week seems a little less than I'd have imagined given the pre-release hype built up around it. I know I'm jumping ahead here, but does this mean Miley Cyrus is a shoe-in for #1 next week then?
  10. How's Labrinth doing?
  11. Even though 1D, Ellie and Labrinth are falling, I'm quite impressed with the slow slide, the Labrinth song especially... won't it be 7 full days trow since the US saw him perform live? Just wish airplay was high as well.
  12. LOL, I'm just seeing this now! You have a point! :D I guess what I was trying to say was that she's really going ultra mainstream with this one.
  13. Agree, radio needs to get on pronto. But it's still a great compliment for a relatively new artist like Ellie to stay in the top 10 for more than 2 days now! Also for those of you that caught Labrinth's AGT perf - was it mimed or real? Because the perf sounded bloody fantastic to me!
  14. Ellie at 8 now.... this is looking like a big hit. Even "Anything can happen" didn't have this kind of 1st week iTunes perf.
  15. I know right... about time it became a massive radio hit! For a song that's been hanging around in the 30s and 40s on iTunes, it's really not gone higher than the 80s on the BB100.

When is that Miley Cyrus song out? That's supposedly tipped to be a big UK hit?
  17. I wonder how it's doing on streaming.... that new factor is limiting foreign artists quite a bit.
  18. To me, it wasn't so much crap, it's more of being generic. She seems so desperate to have a hit she's willing to jump on the Ryan Tedder bandwagon for that!
  19. Ellie at 21 now.... good!
  20. Ellie at 116 now.
  21. Although didn't it just get released?
  22. Is Priyanka Chopra f/ Pitbull "Exotic" getting any airplay? Also now that Billboard is tracking streaming and youtube, I presume it's just youtube views on US IP addresses? I'm also loving how well Calvin/Ellie are doing. How is the Labrinth song doing?
  23. Yes, Bastille and Passenger are the next to watch out for.....! Hopefully "change your life" will do well, but the thing with these generic pop songs (that most X Factor alumni put out) depend greatly on the profile of the artist(s), and so far, LM don't have the kind of exposure that 1D have.
  24. So have Little Mix given up on the US for now? No news of a 2nd single and "Wings" is gone :(
  25. I wonder when Passenger will start surfacing on the US chart. He's been in the 100-130 on iTunes for a while now.
