OCC: David Guetta's 20 biggest selling UK singles
I loved "Who's that chick?". UK was probably the only territory where it did really well.

Does anyone have YTD US album sales for 2013?
There hasn't seem to have been a constant seller this year (unlike 21 last year) at this stage. So just curious to see how the Brits are doing this year, and how many of the top 10 they'll be.

US Billboard Top 200 Albums - 03/02/2013 - (with sales)
I was about to post the SAME thing myself now! For all the hype, magazine covers, blah blah.... they've yet to have a massive album. N'Sync and BSB's 2nd albums were in 2mil sales in less than a month (granted, the environment was different back then).

US Billboard Hot 100 - 03/02/2013
Quite disappointed with Ed Sheeran's massive drop, Olly's rather meager climb and 1D's low debut. Are Billboard sales Tue-Mon? That probably then would explain why Ed climbed last week (Grammy effect), and 1D had what? 2 days' sales to debut at 45? Also why is Ed Sheeran's "Give me love" bubbling under when he's promoting "Lego house"? Sounds like another Kylie 2003 era ("Slow" versus "Red blooded woman")!

US Billboard Hot 100 - 03/02/2013
So this actually bodes well for 1D's Comic Relief song for next week then? Could easily bode for a Top 10 debut with the 1D loons streaming the song on Vevo to death?

British acts in the US for 2013
"Beat again" remains one of my favourite X Factor contestant's original songs.

British acts in the US for 2013
Anyone any idea on Lawson are coming Stateside? Thanks for the list Eric, that's quite a decent add for both Lego House and Little Mix.

Am I the only one who thinks that the Sats project will be a big fat flop?

British acts in the US for 2013
All the reasons you mention below are why he's doing so well in the UK. And these are some of the reasons I fear he won't do well in the US. I'm not so much worried about his image, but more about the sound - he'll run into the same problem that Robbie Williams faced a decade ago in the States. In the UK, artists aren't as pigeonholed as they are on US radio.

Cher Lloyd?!

US Top 200 Songs in Digital Era - (11/15/2014)
How soon will Adele overtake "I gotta feeling"? Between the Oscar perf and her next album, I'm sure RITD will at some point in time?

British acts in the US for 2013
I love his albums, but to be honest with you, they're usually 2 great songs that differentiate him from the pack, and then the rest of the album is like a 1-man boyband. So finding the right audience for him will be challenge here, given US radio is so pigeonholed. In that sense, he'll run into the same issues Robbie Williams had as well.

US iTunes Top 100 [JAN-JUL 2013]
Wall-E, which Saturdays video is in your signature? Also Little Mix back up to 153 now.

British acts in the US for 2013
Erm...ok, good luck Rita! :D LOL! I too, for some reason think Olly could be flash in the pan. Another person that may have another hit is Cher Lloyd when her 2nd album is out. I really like Emeli so I hope she does well. I had no idea "Next to me" has entered the radio charts already.... should be fairly easy going forward then. And her album is filled with lots of potential hits, and they'll no doubt use her as a stop-gap till Adele releases her next album. What about Jake Bugg? They pushed his single to radio as well. And Ed Sheeran's on the promo trail now with "Legohouse".

Daily US Airplay Updates - AUG 2012 - JUN 2013
Agree.... at least 1D had a US ready follow-up.

Daily US Airplay Updates - AUG 2012 - JUN 2013
I really think it'll do decently well, could go top 40 and if lucky even go top 10. 1, because it's already received some kind of airplay (Victoria's Secret show), and there's the 1D connection. But the problem with Little Mix based on what we're seeing in the UK is that their follow ups aren't really that strong, so they may end up doing a Wanted (1 big hit and a bunch of Hot 100 entries before they fade away).

So will this affect Little Mix then?

US iTunes Top 100 [JAN-JUL 2013]
Well that's not really a given. I'd be keen to see if they go with Army as the 2nd US single or record something else for the American market.

British acts in the US for 2013
Thought I'd start something akin to last year's Wanted/1D success in the US. So who do we have right now or for the near future? Saturdays are flopping although "What about us" did briefly peak at the 120s on iTunes. Emeli Sande performed on Ellen and "Next to me" is looking to break the iTunes 100. Don't know airplay is though. Little Mix's song goes to radio soon, should do well. At least top 40 on BB I'm thinking if nothing else. Then of course Olly Murs.... Anyone else? Will Labrinth release the Emeli Sande duet as it seems to be doing well worldwide? And whatever happened to Rita Ora's so called "breaking the States"? 2 Hot 100 hits and she's disappeared, doesn't seem to do much promo too.

I love how US media are referring to him as "British soul singer" :D

US iTunes Top 100 [JAN-JUL 2013]
TBH, when I checked the Sat or Friday before the Grammys, Troublemaker was like #28 or something...but then came the Grammies and the song got pushed down to the 30s. Now that the Grammy backlogue is clearing up, and the rising airplay, it's in the top 20. It's amazing news though, I hope on the success of this song they give "Heart skips a beat" 1 more chance.

Olly Murs - Right Place Right Time
You're right, the timing of the song is perfect.
-
Olly Murs - Army of Two
I hope it does well, it's a brilliant song and I'd like to see the album sell as much (if not more) than the 2nd album in the UK.

Cher Lloyd - Sorry I'm Late
Isnt' Max Martin based in Sweden or somewhere in N Europe?
-
James Arthur and Australian success?
Damn you Pink! But still, #2 in another country is amazing! The next single (and 1st original one) will really get a push. Cowell must be so happy, LOL!
