  1. Interesting... wonder what their logic is.
  2. Oh, and Troublemaker is upto #57 this week. Not the jump I was hoping, but it's going up!
  3. Rita Ora was on the othe day, she did 2 songs too, but as someone else pointed, the show's lucky to get a million viewers and pop stars don't really benefit much from it.
  4. So that's 2 of us then! I'm sure Cowell will pull all the strings to ensure they get the same coverage as 1D. I doubt they'll do as well as 1D, but Wings can be a good enough top 10 hit.
  5. That's what makes it all the more surprising. In all honesty though, "Impossible" is a nice song and I was always surprised it underperformed (Shontelle's version). Had Rihanna sung the song, it would've been a #1 for days and days.
  6. I didn't know that Cannonball was released in territories outside UK/Ireland.
  7. Was hoping Olly would be a bit higher, like the 40s. And as for Carly Rae Jepsen and Gotye... are those songs finishing 1 yr anniversaries on the BB100? (or almost there?!)
  8. Very impressive.... I know many oriignal singles by Uk artists that don't peak as high as this in other countries. And yes to the other poster, Shontelle's versoin didn't chart on the ARIA charts. "IMpossible" looks to climb further as it's currently top 3 on iTunes.

Amazing, I'm sure it'll do really well. I love "I need your love".

They need to. Not only is it a nice (albeit cliched) song, but Calvin is HOT right now and that collab itself guarantees her radio interest.
  11. Was going to say the same, "Lights" has done phenomenally well for Ellie!

How so? The album hasn't even sold 200k in the UK, only 1 single's been a top 10 hit and save for a high debut, the album's freefalling on the Billboard charts.
  13. Of all the UK X factor alumni, they're probably the worst when singing live. Even nasal Joe McElderry was FAR better than them.
  14. #65 now! With the slow rise of airplay and the song being in the top 40 of iTunes, even at this rate should peak in the top 40.
  15. I really really like this song, as much as I liked "Heart skips a beat" which I also thought had a lot of potential in the US. But "Troublemaker" really has taken off. Isn't it funny how UK X Factor alumni are doing much better on the Billboard charts than the American X Factor ones? :D Little Mix "Wings" apparently is going to hit US radio in March.
  16. Is this being released in the US? I know typically Comic Relief songs are released only in the UK (and perhaps Ireland) but I saw that this is already charting on pre-orders on the Aus iTunes.
  17. I've noticed that Impossible is now #3 on the Aus iTunes and will eventually hit the ARIA Top 10. Is this the 1st time a winner's single (of one country, the UK) is charting in another (Australia). I didn't even know that the debut/winner's singles (usually a cover) are released outside of their territory.
  18. Wonder how high up Mr.Murs is!
  19. So "A Team" wasn't quite the airplay hit we were hoping it would be.... still back in the day (read 90s and 00s), it was amazing for a UK artist just to crack the top 40. But thanks to Adele and 1D, I guess we've gotten spoilt and expect every big UK hit (by a UK artist) to be a US one as well! Nice to see Calvin/Florence and Mr.Murs rising!
  20. They should've pushed "Higher" as the 1st single, I love that song!
  21. Is 1Ds "Little things" actually becoming a US radio hit?! Wow!
  22. I'm a big Kylie fan, but I'm always shocked at how the reputation of her songs seems to be greater than both the chart runs and sales. Her "Rihanna" era was during the 1st two albums of PWL. "Fever" I would say was an anamoly. Everything else has been pedestrial sales (around 300k) which is still very good, but she's a perfect example of how goodwill has raised her profile a lot more than her sales.
  23. The thing is, I love Kylie and would love for her to be #1 anytime anywhere anyhow, but who even is going to watch this Hit Factory concert other than concert goers? Is it being telecast on TV? How many outside of core SAW fans even KNOW they're performing?
  24. Thansk for this list. But where's 1D's Take me home on the BB200? Yay at "21" being #1 for a 2nd year in a row, but wow at "19" being in the year end top 20! Nice to see a good British representation on the charts (all of them).
  25. And it went really well with the VS Angels parading their bikinis and wings.
