Yes Dance with me tonight took a few weeks to make number 1 as Rihannas monster hit edged him out for a while but that was his second song off the last album. I am referring to Please don't let me go and Heart skips a beat as they were his previous first singles off each album which is the case with Troublemaker. He usually releases two songs before each album but this time he's only doing one before he brings the album out. DWMT sold about the same as HSAB in the end and they're his two biggest hits so far.

So happy Olly is probably gonna be number 1, he's done me proud. This is gonna be his fastest selling single yet, bodes well for the album! I think beating GA was always gonna be the real battle, he's got album number 1 wrapped up.

I appreciate how much people like GA on here but anyone predicting they'd beat Olly was living in a fantasy. He has the strongest Uk fanbase of any former X Factor contestant. Cheryl's sales of Call my name were never relevant to the discussion. Besides Troublemaker is a better more radio friendly song. It's a testament to GA's popularity that they can come back after a break and get to #2 with a poor song. The Saturdays wouldn't make the top 10 in similar circumstances.

I agree, album sales will be a worry now, a popular act would take DNA to number 1 this week with exposure, it's a good song.

Stay is a great song, the rest of the album is as crap as the last one though. Really enjoyed her SNL performance, was intimate and exposed like Adele at the Brits.

He's very self deprecating on twitter and he's always happy to be the butt of the joke on X Factor, I'm at a loss when I see people talking about his ego. They must be idiots.

Girls Aloud will be number 1 in Ireland, Olly never does as well there as he does in the UK. Eh? Olly is one of the most humble guys in music.

Well Olly was number 3 in the Neilson airplay chart so he's gonna do pretty well, especially after a performance to his core fan base on XFactor on Sunday. I would have to go for him to be number 1 when I consider his broad appeal and track record of both his prior leading singles making number 1 with over 100k each time. I'd say his fanbase is on the rise as his music becomes more credible in pop circles and surely Flo Rida will add sales when you look at how many units he's shifted this year. Girls Aloud will have CiN backing and plenty of high profile tv appearances so you never know.

It's not a hit but 1D fans are gonna love it cos it's romantic. Very surprising that they're not going for radio friendly songs with all the momentum and massive team behind them. Ed Sheeran b sides? Ok then.

Ah yes the Leona Lewis career trajectory. I think she can turn it around with a couple of decent hits on her next album though.

The horrible group performance should be replaced by another artist performance. Or made into a medley that the contesats take part in like they do on Australian X Factor. Preordered 'Right Place, Right Time' today from Sainsburys for £8.99 for the deluxe edition. He's doing very well on preorders on there, #1 for artists for the original version(£6.99) and the deluxe is doing well too. I'll download 'Just for tonight' from youtube or something! I doubt the video commentary will be that in depth tbh but I'll try and watch that somehow as I am very interested in that side of things.

Glad to see he's on Jonathan Ross, now it's only Chatty Man and he's done the big 3 chat shows in the UK (as he's been on Graham Norton). I have a feeling this song could overtake HSAB as his most viewed video. Hopefully it'll be his biggest hit in terms of airplay, tv play and units shifted as well, would guarantee a successful era for him..

It doesn't work like that though Gboy. I don't think Something New will sell that much. I reckon both singles will do around 110k and it'll be close. 85k is decent for their last single though, tough to call.

Gboy Olly could do that, both his lead singles sold well last year. Yes good point Bre, it's hard to tell about GA really. Olly has a faithful fan base though who buy his singles in bulk as long as they're pre album releases and Flo Rida is the biggest selling artist in the country this year so they have their work cut out.

I mean apart from those two songs, if people think a run of the mill cover is better than the other songs on the album they aren't very likely to buy the album if they have the other singles.

No question in my mind that Troublemaker will outsell Something New long term but yeah GA could snatch it in a one week face off. I disagree about how much Troublemaker will sell in it's first week though, it's going over 100k IMO, it's easily as radio friendly as HSAB so GA will have to do very big numbers to get to number 1. They could do that as GA single sales are an unknown quantity these days. What did GA's last single sell first week? Anyone know? Wasn't that song with Tulisa and all those rappers for CIN?
