  1. Starlight shoulda been the first single as that received all the promotion, Run for your life is guff. Could Jessie J could take number 1? And when will the XF single start to drop off the pace on Itunes again?
  2. I never rated his voice. Sex on fire isn't a very hard song to sing (although it sounds pretty hard) and I reckon the song did all the work for him tbh. Cowell made him do old fashioned songs which did him no favours but his styling didn't help either. This song isn't bad, but he's not modern enough.
  3. It's very rare to see songs not debut at number 1 then climb so I'd be really chuffed to see Olly do that. I can't belive there aren't more big singles out this week though. The current album market is very lucative but alot of record companies seem hesitant to capitalise. Leona could have got a number 1 single this week if she released a half decent record, (although that's a bit of a stretch based on her recent efforts) and launched her new album. But no she'd rather do extra vocals on it, big mistake.

You think his bromance with Arg was forced? Did you even watch I'm a celebrity? Mark is a bromance machine! Dougie and Anthony?
  5. Olly should have brought out physical copies of DWMT, a bit silly really gve how wide the retro appeal of the song is.
  6. This week's singles chart will be alot closer than last week. I reckon X factor will take it possibly quite comfortably but Olly and Flo Rida should put up a good fight.
  7. Thanks Benjamin. If there was an album thread I coulda posted it once in there. Just wanted a quick answer mate.
  8. When do we hear about who's number 1 album? That's the only close battle this week.
  9. 4 new judges next year please! Nevermind how poor they've been as judges, I can't really get over how terrible they've been as mentors! Tulisa has done alright with Little Mix but lost potential winners The Risk through crap song choices. The others have just been rubbish, especially Gary, he's had a nightmare. 4 big stars who can sing would be nice. Might be hard to get them onboard after they see how Gary's come across though.
  10. I find it strange how Frankie used to do all the singing in S Club Juniors yet now she's 4th best out of 5 behind Rochelle in The Saturdays! Eh? If members of The Saturdays were binned off for not being the strongest singers Vanessa would be performing solo! She's the worst looking but she's the best singer.
  11. Can Olly or Flo Rida take down X Factor? Doubt it.
  12. Album did well in Australia too, better chart positions elsewhere than they got in England! There must be a worldwide gap in the market for a boyband.
  13. Gary overhyping his act again, what a fool.
  14. Mish B's 2nd performance the best of the night so far. She could definately sell records.
  15. I thought maybe he was singing about his mum! The only way the XF can incorporate gayness is as a camp joke like Johnny Robinson. The song suited him but not the lyrics!
  16. Wow the XF single is getting big promotion tonight, 2nd week at numero uno?
  17. Leanne red hair) messed up the words, can't believe no one brought it up! Jade sang really well so I don't know why they go on about Perri... Leanne ruined it though.
  18. They won't be able to recreate the sound of White Lies vocally, shame as it's one of their better songs. Looking at their album sales... Will the arenas be half empty?

I watched this. It was shit. It's official, channel 5 will screen any old crap. Er no they wouldn't. Arg and Joey Essex are the stars of TOWIE, and are the only ones I'd be interested in seeing shows of. It was all centred around Mark, not Amy. Amy didn't even put her real life on the screen, all her storylines were 100% set up and she was hardly in it when she left.

With copious amounts of autotune as per usual!
  21. Murs should get a sales kick after appearing on The Late Late Show...
  22. No other X factor act has ever sold more than their first album, that's a fact. But not a very impressive one when you consider how many he sold of his first album and how well most other X factor acts first albums sell. It shows Joe's heading in the right direction and has largely recovered from the flop though. Joe not hitting the top 10 doesn't matter, I wouldn't expect him to with the sales needed to get in the top 10 right now. The Saturdays and Pixie Lott couldn't do it. He'll sell enough. I've not been a fan of his output so far but when he writes his own stuff next year I'll judge him on that. I can see him bringing an album of original material out towards the end of next year, it'll be interesting to see if he goes all pop or if he does half and half with classic. I hope it's all pop so there's no covers, he needs to establish his own style. He can always churn covers albums out pretty easily as stop gaps. If he wants to be a big star he needs to take risks.
  23. Those singles sales figures are really impressive, I doubt she'll match them with this era. Start without you selling 1 copy was 1 copy too many, almost as bad as other muck Savan Kotecha has spewed out like The club is alive.
  24. I hope he works with some different (and more renowned) writers on his next record cos I think he's capable of more. Claude Kelly (genius) & Steve Robson have cowritten Dance With Me Tonight, Please Don't Let Me Go and a quite a few other good songs with him so they should continue that relationship. But he's well capable of producing a record full of hits if he works with more great writers. Crap like On My Cloud shouldn't be getting anywhere near the album.
  25. HOMS was a load of crap and Busy had no promotion. But mainly all his fanbase had the album. I can't see DWMT getting anywhere near HSAB which has sold well over 400,000 copies.
