  1. Physicals made up 1% of HSAB's sales so they aren't doing physicals of DWMT. Do the songs sold as part of EPs count towards the total as Olly is 5 on the album chart? Alot of people haven't heard DWMT yet so I don't think DWMT will be as frontloaded as some think, I reckon he'll get steady sales.
  2. Rihanna can't go on selling at the rate she has been, plus if her XF performance is anything like her US XF one it might not boost her much as that was a mess. It's a bad job if Olly can't beat WFL's millionth week in the chart even without a tv boost. Hopefully he gets to perform on XF as number 1! It'll be interesting to see Rihanna's figures for this week...
  3. :D Good! Was baffled why they weren't playing it earlier. I thought that with it being retro radio 2 might have played it too but no. That's one station Will has over Olly. Tbf though DWMT definately will be a hit. Maybe they look at what other radio stations are doing first to see if a song is likely to be big or not.
  4. Olly's fans have literally woken up. Olly's song are more mainstream pop so you'd expect him to get more airplay than Will, he goes more for the radio 2 crowd whereas Olly has more diverse appeal. Anyway the Heart network aren't playing DWMT, so he's not had total support. Tbh I think alot of it is politics, unless you're The Wanted then you never really know how you'll fare. Hey it could be worse for Will, look at poor Cliff Richard!
  5. Heart skips a beat has been his biggest hit to date and Olly mentioned that as being a problem in getting DWMT played. You don't think that's an issue? Thanks, a 20% lead eh... it makes sense that it'll be frontloaded. Rihanna should get a boost although alot of people will already have her single as it's been selling well for a while plus they might just buy the album.
  6. Yeah it's awful, outside of Take That Gary Barlow is pretty useless at knowing what works. I think he was just very keen to be seen as cool. He should have got JLS, Olly Murs and One Direction to collaborate, something like that would shift tons regardless of it's quality.
  7. Judging by previews this is more like the album I expected from Olly last time, 'white boy soul'. Lovin the title track to the album. Agreed! It looked like a step back but his Xtra Factor stint has solidified his fanbase. He's started winning fan voted awards as well so his fanbase is obviously on the rise. I like C'mon C'mon alot better, it's a shame that was a b side off his 1st album campaign. For me On my cloud sounds like a b side but maybe they've spruced it up a bit, who knows.
  8. When does Olly need to be top 5 by to have a chance at number 1? I woulda thought he'd be a little bit higher than 65 by now? I suppose he does have alot of young fans who'd have been asleep since it's been out though. HSAB is actually higher at this point (it's a shame he had to perform that on CIN). Pity he's not been able to perform DWMT on tv at all thanks to the silly X Factor exclusivity thing and he's had trouble shifting HSAB from the radio playlists. Whatever happens I'm sure his album will shift bucketloads, especially on the back of his X Factor performance.
  9. 100k One Direction 120k Rihanna.
  10. The Wanted and Cher didn't sell many albums last week so with them tenously being a mixture of them I woulda said Rihanna by a clear distance... But I see 1D riding high in alot of preorder charts so they should do alot better than those artists, dunno if they'll beat Rihanna though, probably not. I'll be more interested to see if they beat Rebecca's album sales.
  11. Thanks! Not far off, think it was more of an airplay hit than alot of the others though so I'm surprised it's not top 10 but suppose it is still fairly new in comparison to some of the others.
  12. No the charity single has been pushed back to the 28th. It'll be a race between Olly Murs and Rebecca that I don't see her winning tbh although she has pushed Olly's X Factor performance back to the week after so the extra exposure could do wonders. But I reckon she'll be an album artist, her album sales will make or break her so it's not that important where her song charts.
  13. He's a great lad whose career is going from strength to strength atm. His first album sold by the bucketload (108,000 1st week). His 2nd album should sell well on the back of his X Factor performance of 'Dance with me tonight'. And he has an arena tour next year plus his songs are all over the adverts, so the boy's done good! He's one of those people you just wanna see do well so I'm proud of him. He always seems like the underdog for some reason!
  14. Olly Murs - Heart Skips a beat can't be far off that list? Sold over 108,000 in it's first week then stuck around for a while.
